JOB SUMMARY:
The Associate Marketing Manager- Brand Communications,Gap Marketing will be a marketing generalist responsible for Brand Communications, Gap Marketing on the development of product storytelling, integrated marketing plans, and responsible to drive plan implementations. The candidate will be required to understand the target customer in Mainland China, and have the ability to discern what types of strategies and communication will be relevant and motivating to them, balancing the global brand positioning and presentation, with the needs of the local markets. The candidate will partner with key internal business partners and cross-functional teams, and external marketing agencies or strategic partnership as appropriate.Marketing Execution:
- Develop briefs, create timelines and manage project executions based on set marketing plan.
- Work closely with global marketing team to ensure the good understanding for global campaign concept, creative guidelines,assets, usage rights and to be the core player to adapt the global assets for local needs and cascade the information to related teams.
- Lead and work with cross-function team to develop in-store marketing assets, including window, signage, promotion and creative, for both season product message and also promotional message
- Understand the products and marketing pipeline,and work closely with merchandising, inventory management and visual merchandising teams to build the rich and convincing product storytelling content for local consumers.
- Responsible for managing agency and partners in executing production needs (e.g. production of materials etc)
- Required to be conversant in daily sales performance in order to be able to act quickly if and when course-correction may be required.
QUALIFICATIONS:
1) Required knowledge, skills & abilities:
- Initiative: Ability to independently identify and capitalize on business opportunities, an agile self-starter,results-orientated, and able to deal with ambiguity.
- Influence: Ability to influence across the organization, including senior management.
- Communication: Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Analysis: Strong analytical and research skills, combined with sound business judgment. Pay attention to details.
- Creativity: Ability to generate creative ideas from analysis.
- Consumer Insight: Ability to be the “voice of the consumer”.
- Relationships: Proven experience and ability to work cross-functionally, especially with creative organizations.
- Intellectual Horsepower: Ability to apply strategic thinking to Brand Marketing and business results.
- Cultural: An ability to interact with people in different cultures in a way that promotes understanding, and is respectful and effective.
2) Minimum Education Level
- Bachelor degree.
3) Experience Required
- 5-7 years of brand management, consumer or retail marketing experience, preferably in apparel, fashion, consumer packaged goods, retail or cosmetics.
