Our client is a fast-growing company in the packaging industry, with their business development in Asia Pacific, they want a Group sourcing manager to join their APAC team.

Key Responsibilities:

Manage a team to ensure corporate sourcing and execution operate smoothly.

Know and understand suppliers/factories and their capabilities, capacity and performance.

Negotiate price based on an in-depth understanding of product and components.

Improve operating efficiency through better business planning.

Conduct supplier assessment and formulate supplier matrix for the category.

Source new supplier, measure supplier performance, capability and capacity in order to make appropriate sourcing decisions. Keep information up to date. Manage supplier performance.

Maintain strong relationship with key suppliers

Work with other functional teams to ensure placements are made with right factories. Identify testing and production issues upfront and involve Quality Assurance teams to resolve.

Effectively negotiate product and price, and develop alternatives to achieve objectives.

People development

Key Requirements:

Bachelors degree, MBA is a plus.

Solid sourcing experience and knowledge in consumer products is required.

Able to manage within a global sourcing organization and build ownership and teamwork.

Good understanding of specification, components, component suppliers and construction.

Excellent problem solving skills. Creatively able to develop alternative solutions to achieve product and business objectives.

Fluent in English and Mandarin.
