MAJOR TASKS, RESPONSIBILITIES, AND KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

• Plan trips with Sourcing Senior Manager or PDM to visit vendor/factory and follow up works. Work with Sourcing Senior Manager and PDM to plan 'buy' trips and product line reviews; look for opportunistic buys within market. Source and develop product as directed by the PDM. Manage the product development process and fulfill the role in the on boarding process.
• Build relationship with existing supplier. Maintain and set up risk mitigation plan for the existing business.
• Source, evaluate and develop additional manufacturers within product area. Rich knowledge to Houseware (Kitchenware, Tabletop, Luggage and Small Electrics) is preferred.
• Drive the execution level and compliance level of all suppliers in the category.
• Attend Trade Shows within market to seek, evaluate new product developments and market intelligence.
• Work with Product Engineering team to drive cost out opportunities.
• Work with Packaging & design team to assure that all packaging and graphics meet the PB requirement.
• Work with quality and production control to improve product quality, drive out supply chain cost. Work with Supply Chain to maintain VOT and fill rate standards.
• Coach and develop direct reports.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor degree/MBA desirable, Business, Supply Chain, Engineering or Manufacturing background.
• At least 7 years sourcing experience and minimum 2 year managerial experience in recent positions.
• Team leading experience is preferable.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & Competencies

• Strong sense of urgency and ownership;
• Self-motivated and able to work under pressure in a dynamic business environment;
• Good negotiation skills and strong interpersonal and communication skills with professional spirit
• Strong problem solving and excellent organizational and project management skills,able to work well in cross-functional teams
• Very fluent in both oral and written English, willing to travel regularly within China and abroad;
• CPM and/or CPIM certification preferred;
• Sound knowledge and experience of global sourcing not limited in China but also in South East Asia regions is a plus. Working or experience in e-commerce is an asset to consider;
• Computer literacy including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project;
• Strong data analysis skill, strong time management skills
