Job Responsibilities:

The role requires knowledge of the business operation, technology and product roadmaps and specific expertise in procurement and manufacturing cost structure. Able to effectively interface with suppliers and maintain mutually beneficial relationships.

Interface with Business Unit on product roadmap and engineering team on technology roadmap

Perform stratically supplier risk assessment and supplier development within procurement

team

Continuously driving cost optimization/VAVE and keep cost leadership

Establish consistent commercial terms/conditions and present a single unified Harman

International interface to the supply base

Execute effective supplier negotiations and event driven cost reductions to meet annual cost

reduction goals

Establish goals, improvement plans, business reviews and monthly reporting related to areas of

responsibility

Support the bid and quote process

Basic Qualifications:

10+ years, Procurement, Strategic Sourcing, Supply Management, VAVE

Proven record to achieve cost, delivery, quality, and time to market commitments from

procurement pespective

Strong negotiation and relationship building skills, and strong expertise on supplier in South

China

Strong collaborating skill with key work partners and able to maintain effective relationships

while driving for result

Effective team player committed to organizational goals; fostering collaboration among team

members

Ability to speak clearly and express self well in groups and in one-to-one conversations

Preferred Qualifications:

Knowledge and experience on audio product sourcing

Manage procurement spending over $300 million

MBA preferred
