Description:
The Industrial Products Division business at Shenzhen is looking for an associate to join our Industrial Venting Team in the role of Production planning and product Data Management.
This associate will schedule an internal production platform, support new part configuration to ensure data accuracy in E1 and Compass in support of business needs. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Production and sample scheduling, coordination of material flow between work cells or areas with-in the plant, balance capacity considerations with short-term production priorities and support planning and inventory objectives, and PDM. This associate will partner with the Global Planners to ensure that inventory turns goals are meet, while maintaining customer expectations for lead-time and on-time delivery, partner with Process Engineer to do new part configuration and maintain data in the systems of record.
Responsible for:
Participate in the planning of new product development with Sales, Engineering, Product Specialists and Manufacturing; check with PE if process is ready before committing to new product orders or samples
Partner with manufacturing leadership to resolve production issues and scheduling conflicts
Respond to changes in supply or demand by adjusting production schedule, communication changes to appropriate leadership, manufacturing associates, and material planners
Release and maintain work orders and effectively representing them within the E1 system
Maintain appropriate metrics for performance, including material usage, yield/scrap rates, and production data to understand variability between actual and planned
Implement Inventory Strategies & Structures from BU's, work with BU's if SZ can't control inventory, suggest, implement, and maintain improvements to the existing planning/inventory infrastructure
Develop and maintain effective relationships with all local/remote associates in the various functional areas that impact the planning commitment, Global Planner, Inside Sales, Shipping and Receiving, Direct Labor Associates and Process Engineering, etc...
Understand and support the need for continuous improvement. Identify, support and /or lead initiatives that improve planning processes
Complete new part configuration/activation in MES and E1; Investigate and address daily operational issues pertaining to PDM (received via email, IM, phone call, etc)
Maintain data in the systems of record (MES, E1, W drive)Develop and maintain the planning values within the E1 system and support data integrity initiatives
Understand of MES functionality and the ability to analyze work in process to determine scheduling constraints and take appropriate actions when needed
ECR management: Review ECR status, follow up Action Items, archive completed ECR's
Qualifications:
5 years prior experience in a planning/scheduling role
This Associate must value building strong relationships, have excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to interact and effectively communicate with multicultural groups
Given the global interactions required of the position, the ability to communicate well in written and spoken English will be required to level - CET 6.
Demonstrated experience utilizing an ERP/MRP software system.
Demonstrated experience in understanding BOM and BOR's
Strong communication skills in order to partner with Associates from other functions
Demonstrated ability to work effectively with cross functional teams
Analytical skills
Ability to proactively problem solve a variety of issues as they arise
Proficiency working within Microsoft Office
