What will I be doing?
Specifically, a Director, Projects will perform the following tasks to the highest standards
Management of Hilton’s interests for all D&C aspects of selected Projects in their region.
Projects may be new builds, conversions, retrofits or renovations.
Project involvement from inception to opening.
Normal workload is approx 8 projects simultaneously, but on occasions may be up to 12 projects simultaneously.
Provide leadership of those projects as the principal HW representative to & from owners & Project consultants.
Ensure internal communications & effective relationships on those projects with all other HW departments & specialists including Brands, Design, F&B, Spa, Dev, Pre-Opening & Ops.
Assist Hilton development to secure agreements for new hotel developments or conversions.
Maintain a thorough working knowledge of Brand Standards & Objectives for all brands active in the region.
Help build Brand “equity” by ensuring owners comply with Brand stds & objectives.
Work effectively with developers/owners & project design consultants to optimize the design, construction & opening of projects..
Work effectively with Global Design Group to create suitable design solutions.
Work effectively with Global Shared Services group re Brand standards & signage issues.
Regular reports to management regarding projects status & issues.
Presentations to owners, Hilton management and other Tech Services re their projects.
Prepare Project briefs and facilities schedules.
Prepare, present & participate in monthly Project & Design Reviews, periodic site reviews and review of mock-up guestrooms.
Prepare & maintain Non-Compliance Schedules re D&C stds, Fire & Life safety (FLS) & Brand attributes non-compliance. Co-ordinate with Brands re waivers for non-compliant items
Contribute to the creative & constructive process of value engineering.
Work with Hilton Pre-Opening Group, GMs and their teams during the Pre-Opening phase.
Inspect & prepare Property Improvement Plans (PIPs) for selected conversion projects.
Co-ordinate with QA re pre-opening QA inspections.
Extensive travel within the region for projects or client meetings.
