Responsibility

 

Trim Sourcing and Development

• Analyze trends and market conditions for the present and the future regarding quality, pricing, availability etc

• Work with headquarter/ Direct customer in trim sourcing and development, to execute their product vision on trims. Communicate the briefing to the relevant trim supplier(s) and follow up throughout the development process

• Do price negotiations with suppliers to achieve the best possible price

• Assure information sharing and close cooperation with Merchandiser and QA specialist regarding trim development and production

• Provide technical support related to trim quality issues during sampling, production and testing. Propose alternative solutions and action steps to solve the situation regarding trims

• Enter and keep up to date trim data in PLM system, and other trim databanks. Maintain trim library

• Initiate and execute both physical and random chemical test along material development process to ensure product compliant with INTERSPORT Norms and Regulations

• Work closely with headquarter to approve lab dips and samples

Trim supplier management

• Evaluate existing and new trim suppliers’ production ability and service performance

• On-going education of suppliers with regards to headquarter standards, requirements and norms and regulation

Requirements:

• Trim knowledge including material characteristics, factory set up, production process and techniques, relevant testing standards, etc.

• Knowledge of functional trims and its application in sports and outdoor products

• At least 3 years working experience with similar position in garment/textile industry

• Strong data analysis and process mapping skills

• Solid presentation and communication skills in both written and spoken English and Mandarin

• Team player and Positive attitude

• Facility in development of proposals and reports

• Able to travel extensively
