The International Routing and Distribution Specialist will be responsible for updating and maintaining core data tables that determine the physical path parcels take as them move across the world.  The role will work across different functions. The candidate will also act as the Operations liaison to the Information Technology (IT) team, assisting to define the business requirements to IT developers.

  

The candidate we are looking for must be highly interactive and detailed oriented with extremely strong analytical skills.

  

The candidate will be responsible for, but not limited to:

  

1. Support broader business as routing expert

   1. Liaise directly with international terminal operations as subject matter expert on international routing procedures and related operations processes

      

1. Support customer service group with international network details
2. Work with developers on running various business scenarios to test new IT functionality
3. Stay up to date with proprietary operations software features and incorporate into routing models
4. Work with Implementation team to add customers to ‘approved’ status on routing tables

   

 

  

1. Master routing data ownership

   1. Monitor, update and maintain appropriate modules within current and future operational systems, which integrate key components of international routing, postage costs, mail terminal process, pricing model, ground and air transportation costs, and customer invoicing.   

1. Maintain data base of operations documentation: routes, operational SOPs, postage indicia and shipping labels, up-to-date vendor rate cards, etc.

  

 

  

Required Skills/Experience

  

• Project experience in Operations Research or Information Systems

• Work experience or Internship in Supply Chain/Logistics Operations

• Proficient in MS Office suite, with extremely strong skills in Excel and Access

• Proficient in SQL

• Proficient in Visual Basic

• Excellent written communication skills (English language)

• Ability to work well independently and under pressure

              

Education Qualification

  

• Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial Engineering
