Main Responsibilities:

Planning

· Write the detailed validation plan including test phases and and test specification based on both Dometic validation and customer requirements

· Work in parallel with the project team; contribute to correct the design in order to meet product performance.

· Manage the configuration and logistics of tested parts and products

· Lead validation FMEA generation for assigned project

Manage

· Manage the planning inside the laboratory and allocated resources (technicians, tools, …)

· Project test scheduling

· Responsible for obtaining the specific tools needed for the validation

· Responsible for quarterly or annual calibration of certain tools and equipment as prescribed by certification accreditation bodies

· Manage the cost of the validation activities

Test Execution

· Carry out all work to comply with Quality Management System, DPDP process, standards, etc.

· Develop test environment solutions

· Governance of test setup and verification of test platforms supported by Lab Operation Technicians

· Governance of test execution as per the specification, using lab equipment and supported by lab technicians

· Able to simulate and enable view on delivered product and to understand customer problems

· Encourage a Safety focus dedicated to maintaining high quality standards.

Reporting

· Report validation status to the project team and management on a regular basis

· Generation of test reports, peer-reviews of data and follow up on approval

· Create daily and weekly activity report on project and non-project related activities using tools like dashboards

· Perform problem management thru interfacing with customer

· Participate in lessons learned across the various projects

Compliance

• As a Gatekeeper for Product Safety
• Familiarize various standards governed in different markets
• Comply DPDP process

Efficiency

· Contribute to the improvements of the laboratory’s tools such as: instruction sheet, development and validation of test environment processes automation

· Test Efficiency: Minimize test cycle times; Provide work instructions to external test houses; Support Project team with analysis of failure modes; Implement a robust and efficient automated test benches

Communication / Network

· Test service request process, review and analysis.

· Analyze customer specification with Project Team Member and Quality, challenge thetests requested and define the final validation plan to build the final offer.

· Define the need of specific tools or bench (characterization, reliability...)

· Define also the associated budget

· Active participants or members in regulatory boards; good networking

Reporting Line

· This position will report to the Head of Product Development China

· The Job Holder will manage a team of Lab Operation Technicians

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate a detailed knowledge of the following:

· Fluent in both Chinese and English

· Hands-on test automation experience, min 5 years lead test engineering experience

· Demonstrated experience working with full product development life- cycles

· Ability to develop new approaches to complex and scalable design problems. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

· Strong knowledge of test technologies, applications, standards, and test development processes.

· Ability to write good test specifications, automation scripts and participate in peer reviews

· Global and regional exposure

· A relevant Technical Engineering Degree

• In-depth knowledge of a variety of testing techniques and methodologies

· Good oral and written communication with experience working with members at various levels

· Excellent organization, communication, interpersonal skills, flexible and able to structure and estimate work
