Job Purpose:

Support development of new FW or making changes to existing FW on the printers.
This position is required to make China R&D team to be support on going sustaining and productivity projects for various printers.


Responsibilities

Responsible for developing and/or making changes to FW for existing and future printers to meet product specifications.
This would include supporting global R&D team and work closely with the Systems lead and QA to release FW for production with zero defects.


Qualifications

Bachelor degree or above of Computer Science or Electronic Engineering.
At least 5 years' experience at Embedded FW/SW domain.
Have Embedded FW/SW Development experience in 2 or more electrical/electronic products.
Familiar with various Microprocessor, understand how it works and the on-chip peripherals such as USB, LCD, A/D timer etc.
Have experience and be competent in developing embedded application and driver for printer or similar product.
Good at FW design documentation, can draw excellent flow chart and sequence chart before coding
Have knowledge of electronic circuit HW, can discuss it with EE engineer.
Collaboration with other units of the Global R&D team as part of the development process.
Good in FW debugging and problem solving, familiar with debugging with IDE and serial port
Support mass production launch in factory, have ability to write a test tool is a plus
Knowledge of networking such as USB, Ethernet, Bluetooth, etc.
A plus if have knowledge and experience in Linux embedded system development.


Knowledge & Skills

Excellent C skill, knows C++ and assembler is a plus
Be a team player
Willing to study and research new technology
Know how to operate oscilloscopes, multi-meters, emulators, logic state analyzers, etc.
Familiar with FW development tool (Keil, IAR, etc)
Familiar with SVN(or similar) source code management system.
Familiar with one of the bug management system.
