Job Specification
Position: Quality Engineer
Reporting to: Quality Manager, ETAL Group
Experience/skills
* A technical education and background
* Experience within quality in production environment
* Good working familiarity with a wide range of electronic measuring and test equipments
* An analytical and innovative approach to work, combined with good organization and communication skills incl. creating reports
* The ability to motivate and get information/results from third parties (other people/organisations)
* Be fluent in English (orally and in writing)
* Experience of transformers preferable
* Experience of managements systems IS0 9001, ISO 14001, OHSAS 18001 and SA 8000 preferable
* Experience of auditing preferable
Task and Responsibilities
* Supervise all quality issues within area of responsibility
* Claim handling
* Reporting and support to customer
* Supervise analyses, implementation and effectiveness of corrective and preventive actions at subcontractor/supplier
* Quality statistics and reporting
* Compile and send statistics to ETAL Group monthly or upon request
* Supervise that subcontractor production statistics will be prepared for ETAL Group
* Contact ETAL Group immediately at any disturbances in production, material provisioning or any other quality issues
* Perform technical analyses, inspection and tests as required
* Random sampling and checking as required
* Participate in and follow-up audits
* Perform/participate in supplier/subcontractor audits (process, product, quality system, environmental system, health and safety system) according to qualifications
* Follow up of supplier/subcontractor audits
* Establish and maintain good subcontractor/supplier relations
* Support to subcontractor/supplier as required for solving of problems/quality issues
