职位描述
Purpose
The purpose of this position is to assist in the development of the strategy for, and to actively manage and develop the sales within China. This includes assisting in the planning of sales initiatives, and directly leading and managing the implementation of sales strategies and initiatives in order to meet the company targets regarding growth and profitability.
In order to meet the business needs, the position is required to lead, manage and actively develop our team Chinese Sales Representatives.
In addition, the position will work with both local and central Region 5 resources in Marketing, After Sales, Product Management, Demand and Supply Chain Management and Logisticis to achieve the profitable sales growth.
Main accountabilities/Activities
- Along with the Managing Director, contribute to the development of the China sales strategy, translating the Group/Regional strategies into actionable strategies and initiatives in China.
- Ensure internal “customer first” focus within the team. Increase the focus on sales and service according to group targets, both for customers and end-consumers.
- Manage, develop and expand our distribution network in a profitable manner by ensuring the right customer, market and product mixes.
- Develop our Dealers/Distributors to be the most professional, best in class sales channels in our industry.
- Maintain/develop our culture and commitment in our dealers/distributors.
- Co-ordinate sales activities.
- Work with cost competitiveness.
- Support the Managing Director - China with sales analysis and planning to develop the business strategy to deliver the expected profitable growth for our group.
- Support business with detailed sales analysis and monitoring by sector/product category/competitor and customer/macro trends.
- Develop and manage the sales forecast and planning. Work closely together with Sales Planning and Logistics to ensure alignment on customer priorities within Supply Chain and Logistics.
- Be an integral part in developing the annual sales budget and its process for the local sales company.
- Work closely together with the local marketing team to ensure the marketing activities according to business needs.
- Work with Sales Planning and Logistics to ensure the optimal inventory levels, to both ensure adequate customer support, and Group cash flow targets.
- Work with Finance to ensure timely payment of Accounts Receivables from our Customers
- Lead, Coach and develop the Chinese Sales Representatives.
- Continuous people development and succession planning.
- Support our group level projects and activities as needed.
Qualifications
- Relevant education or experience (University degree), with an Engineering or Technical background preferred..
- Leadership experience within Sales and Service >7 yrs.
- Fluent in Mandarin and English.
- Proven and successful track record of developing and implementing sales strategies in China.
- Excellent track record of customer focused service delivery, B2B and B2C.
- Previous experience of process development/continuous improvements and change management.
- Strong business acumen/ability to develop business cases for growth.
- Highly developed project management skills (i.e. initiating, execute and follow-up projects).
Skills/Personal profile
- Impeccable business ethics.
- Good understanding and experience in dealing with the different customer channels, product mix and multiple brands.
- Experience working with a dealer/distributor network is a plus.
- Market experience / understanding of the different routes to market and the value of different sales channels.
- Understand the market and plan ahead while understanding the wider implications of actions.
- Ability to influence people.
- Ability and experience to lead and coach a team.
- Fluent English both oral and written
- Strong communication skills.
- To construct factual plans and proposals to influence senior directors of the business.
- Experience working in a multi-cultural environment preferred.
