POSITION PURPOSE
The Human Resources Manager partners with functional management on business decisions related to associates and supports all Human Resources related activity for the client group including talent management, organization effectiveness, associate relations, compensation, performance management, benefits, learning, and staffing. Also supports the execution of companywide Human Resource initiatives for their designated client group.
In the Learning and Development role, this position is responsible for creating and managing learning and development efforts of the organization to include but not limited to the leading and managing curriculum development providing learning solutions and interventions for the Asia Sourcing team that are aligned with the business strategy and result driven, and the design and management of associate training and development program, succession program, Identifying and developing high potentials and training programs to develop future leaders.
Additional Responsibility - Work with ASO HR Director to develop and implement HR processes and systems to drive organizational development at all levels within a functional organization. HR processes include selection, VOICES, talent planning, performance management, survey development and assessment, leadership development/executive coaching, change management, and organizational design. Requires extensive partnership with other HR Managers and business leaders to develop strategies and action plans for HR processes.
MAJOR TASKS, RESPONSIBILITIES, AND KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
Learning and Development, and Organizational Development
- Develop Asia Sourcing Training and Plan and Curriculum for all associates through conducting needs assessment/identification of critical needs/gaps. And oversee the design and development of programs, materials, tools and processes.
- Ensure successful deliver and implementation of all programs, courses and solutions; and ensure learning solutions are aligned and integrated with THD leadership management processes and system
- Establish and manage learning alliances and strategies partnerships with consultants, colleges, universities, sourcing industry groups and venders to develop and/or deliver training
- Partner with others in SSC training and development team, and Asia Sourcing management team to meet associate development needs
- Develop and administer learning record and measurement tools, including learning database, the tracking/completion/certification of training attended by associates, business impact and ROI, to improve the effectiveness of the learning solutions
- Develop and maintain an external network of contacts for benchmarking, industry and leadership development initiatives etc.
- Track market trends and best practices in sourcing education; blended learning, facilitation, instructional design, performance-based learning and learning as a process
- Evaluate performance of facilitators; providing feedback and coaching heir on-going performance
- Manage the talent planning process to include working with management in identifying successors and creating development plans for those successors. Continues to drive the major development initiatives in Asia Sourcing, such as Global Sourcing Merchandise Program (GSMP) and Asia Sourcing Merchandise Program (ASMP)
- Develop management development programs to prepare individuals for future leadership positions working with ASO leadership team
- Coordinate Internship Program to sure we have an effective program that add value for Global/Asia sourcing and to the students including possible future development and employment
- Individual contributor in the design and development of relevant training programs based on both organization and the individual's needs. This includes facilitating the production and design of presentation materials, participant materials, training exercises, role plays, and assessment.
- Design and implement organizational development initiatives to increase individual and team performance, in partnership with HR Managers and business leaders.
- Provide coaching and feedback on leadership and career development through VOICES, New Leader Assimilation, the Mentoring Program, etc to build leader capability.
- Conduct organizational survey design and assessment; owns action planning and evaluation based on survey results.
Human Resources Business Partner
- Partner with management to recruit for the positions. Source candidates, screen resumes, arrange interview team schedules, ensure compliance to all company policy and procedure (e.g. pre employment screening, offer letters, background check, etc.).
- Provide counsel and leadership coaching (360s) and partners with managers in the performance management process and the execution of associate development plans. Ensure managers are developing associate development plans and are consistently following up on those game plans.
- Follow-up on all associate training to ensure participation. Conduct new associate orientation, certified as a trainer and conducts training. May conduct management development training in Human Resource related areas (interviewing, coaching, etc)
- Partner with management to identify back-up and emerging talent and the creation of development plans; follow up on development plans for identified candidates; analyze diversity and takes action to increase the diversity of the candidate pool. Work effectively with THD Human Resource team to leverage support and expertise. Contribute to the development of Talent Planning.
- Analyze turnover to identify trends and develop retention strategies. Ensure adherence to company policy, procedure and employment law.
- Represent Human Resource in corporate wide initiatives. Drive and execute company Human Resource initiatives.
- Drive compensation and performance management for client group including creation of new role descriptions and updates.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree and above preferably in Human Resource. MBA is a plus
- At least 5 years strong experience in design and / or administration of Training and Development or Organizational Development
- Proficiency with MS Office
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
- Proven track record of delivering the Training and Development strategies.
- Technical knowledge of HR specialties including employment law, employee relations, management and organizational development, staffing, training and compensation
- Strong coaching, counseling, negotiating and conflict management skills.
- Excellent Networks in the industry/sector.
- Excellent communication skills and cross-group collaboration.
- Excellent problem solving skills.
