Position Description:
The IT Strategy & Planning Director will lead a team of analysts and project managers working closely with the CIO leadership as well as key business stakeholders to define the strategy and roadmap for achieving the transition to a next-generation transformation and IT team. Reporting to the Executive Director, Transformation, Strategy and Architecture, and working with internal and external resources, the role will ensure the IT strategy fully align with Lenovo’s business strategy, accelerate adoption of digital technology, drive innovation, implement strategic plan, and measure outcome.
Key roles & responsibilities:
• Lead the annual CIO strategy & planning cycle and IT development with the CIO executive leadership and senior business stakeholders
• Identify industry, business and technology/digital trends that are relevant to the CIO mission and determine their implications for IT strategy and business strategy
• Evangelize digital transformation and strategy within CIO organization and across the company; support regular interlocks with all level of stakeholders
• Engage external vendors to partners to advance the adoption of new technology and innovation
• Drive implementation of transformation roadmap, business strategy enablement initiatives, and track results
• Lead and coach a team of strategy professionals

Position Requirements:
Position Requirements: Bachelor and above degree with business or IT related major, MBA preferred
• 10+ years’ experience in technology industry, 4+ years management consulting/or functional strategy experience, especially around business technology, innovation and transformation
• Experience in a multi-national environment strongly preferred
• Self-driven, hands-on & results-oriented to perform in a matrix environment
• Strong project management and process management ability
• Solid conceptual and analytical problem solving skills
• Interpersonal skills and influencing – able to build the right relationships at multiple levels for effective work
• Exceptional verbal & written communication & presentation skills, including PowerPoint, to craft clear executive communication storylines and content
• Demonstrated command of Mandarin and English languages
