the Senior Supplier Quality Assurance Engineer is responsible to launch the overall supplier quality improvement/development tactics via the implementation of the required quality information/data collection platforms, tools, methods, processes, systems and designated KPIs to pursue continuous development of Belkin’s suppliers to assure ongoing high product and process quality at suppliers.

The position has to develop, monitor and maintain Belkin quality culture within supply base to assure continual 100% customer satisfaction.


DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

In conjunction with senior staff of SQA Team, develop, execute, maintain and continuously improve new supplier / sub-tier supplier qualification process, new product introduction (NPI) good practices, and comprehensive process & product quality plans for all Belkin products for the entire product life cycle.

The position has to establish and maintain quality performance metrics and review processes that drive continuous improvement in business performance.

Essential responsibilities included:
? Support Senior / Supplier Quality Assurance Manager / Assistant Manager to assist Factory Auditor on supplier qualification activities especially related to quality system & manufacturing process and the subsequent follow-up verification activity, via the establishment of QPA template based on each product category. Track and follow-up audit findings until completion.
? Participate in new product introduction (NPI) process development addressing overall product/process/sub-tier supplier quality and time to market strategy.
? Launch defined platform, tools and quality performance reporting/CTQs/KPIs to properly manage the NPI process.
? Provide on-site support (if feasible) to witness Sample/Pilot Build in supplier (including sub-tiers) factories, to perform function testing, to validate reliability test result provided by suppliers, to support Belkin ME/EE/HW/SW team to verify product performance and CTQs with reference to appropriate product testing plan.
? Validate manufactured process including SIP/SOP, control plan review, SMQP establishment, new operator/inspector training/certification to make sure new product can be launched smoothly.
? Perform First Article Sample (FAS) verification and follow-up subsequent approval process. Monitor and approve corrective action plan before mass production via MP Outstanding List.
? Train existing suppliers and new suppliers for Belkin SQA processes, procedures and requirements including SMQP, ECN, daily/weekly/monthly yield performance/CTQ reports, testing standard/cosmetic acceptance criteria, tooling life summary, etc.
? Maintain & improve in-process and outgoing product quality, ORT verification, line DPPM reduction and problem shooting in key suppliers and respective sub-tier suppliers.
? Conduct regular process audits in both high risk products and low quality performance suppliers, to make sure critical /major findings is closed on quality on time.
? Perform regular product final inspection to authorize shipment, introduce self –FAS and self –inspection concept to supplier and monitor implementation status.
? Support product failure analysis via quality tools (5-why, fish-bone and C&E matrix, etc.) and liaise with Engineering Department to coordinate return/complaint resolution via the establishment of 8D Report/SCAR. Initiate SCAR to suppliers, request corrective actions & preventive actions, track progress of CAPA implementation and proper closure.
? Support Senior Supplier Quality Assurance Manager to perform supplier quality performance scorecard reviews and the subsequent follow-up improvement actions implementation.
? Support Senior Supplier Quality Assurance Manager on Brand Protection related activity including sample analysis/reporting.
? Support ad hoc projects assigned by Director of Supplier Quality Assurance / Senior Supplier Quality Assurance Manager per needed basis.


EDUCATION
? B.S. degree required in engineering discipline, EE or ME or Manufacturing Engineering preferred. Master’s degree is a plus.


EXPERIENCE
? 7 years’ experience in QA field with significant hands-on quality and manufacturing experience. Solid experience in consumer Electronics or soft goods or equivalent.
? Exposure to product safety/regulatory compliance (IEC60950, IEC60884, BS1363, eTL, UL, CE, FCC, EMI, C-Tick, etc.), product sustainability compliance regulations (REACh, RoHS, California Prop65, etc.), product reliability testing requirements, is preferred.
? Previous engineering working experience is a plus.
? Solid analytical skills. Understand quality tools/statistical technique and able to generate quality metrics.
? Demonstrate good interpersonal skills and teamwork attitude in working with China factories, overseas suppliers, customers and internal colleagues. Good command in English both writing and speaking.
? Able to work independently under pressure and can accept multiple tasks simultaneously. Obedience to senior members of SQA Team.
? This position will require approximately 80% travel in China, 10% overseas, 10% in office located in Shenzhen China.
