The Team:
As part of the Asia Fund Research Team the successful candidate will join one of the fastest growing businesses within Morningstar. Morningstar Asia’s presence has been developed over past 10 years and currently has employees based in Shenzhen, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Singapore, and South Korea. Morningstar employs over 100 mutual fund analysts across the globe and the fund research team in China will work closely with Asia, European and Australasian research teams.

The Role:
Morningstar China analysts are responsible for writing research reports on a wide variety of investment mutual fund products. Our research process includes running screens in our database, interviewing fund managers, and investigating regulatory information. Morningstar analysts also research and write reports on fund-investing topics, as well as provide data and commentary to the news media. Our goal is to help investors make more informed investment decisions by providing independent and objective recommendations. This position is based in our Shenzhen office.

Responsibilities:
Conduct product risk rating project and write reports on product due diligence
Coordinate with data operations to ensure required data or information are in place to support products risk rating and report
Play an important role on editorial and write articles on fund-investing topics

Requirements:
Bachelor`s or master`s degree
Excellent spoken and written communication skills in both English and Chinese
1+ years of employment experience in Morningstar or 1 to 3 years of employment experience in the investment industry
A knack for number crunching and problem solving
Excellent time management skills.
CFA designation or enrollment is an asset
Skilled with PC and various software
