Position Summary

The Sr. Product Quality Engineer is the facilitator/owner to capture and follow up the product quality concerns and issues happen during its production and its involved process or environment in ShenZhen site. As such, this position performs quality improvements together with internal departments (e.g., Production, Product Engineering, Process Engineering, Test Engineering, Facility and equipment, Supply Chain, R &D etc), and report to Product Quality Manager.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

1. Product Quality Assurance for NPI project;

2. Join NPI team as quality prime, and lead new product line readiness review;

3. Drive FMEA-PCP define & review process, verify the related process development validation/verification activity;

4. Review new equipment buy-off & Release process, verify the documentation & training effectivities, corrective action management on quality incidents;

5. Lead FAI process to evaluate the product performance meet design expectation, product Quality Assurance for mass production products, drive PCP and process documents updates ;

6. Responsible for IQC & OQA process ,;=lead process audit, as such, responsible for process audit list updates, invite cross function team to join targeted process audit and drive the improvement activities for audit findings, monitor shop floor SPC and MSA implement status;

7. Responsible for working environment(Cleaning room, ESD) requirements update and audit, control the Engineering Change Process ,providing quality related training to operators;

8. Responsible for customer return analysis and drive corrective actions, and to work with Engineering and production team for product yield improvement;

9. Lead nonconformance product disposition process, and drive scrap rate reduction activities;

10. Provide support for raw material issues for the defects detect both in IQC and production line，problem Solving and Continual Improvement.

Qualifications and Requirements

1. At least a Bachelor Degree holder and/or above, major in Engineering/Science;

2. At least 10 years of experiences in Program Management and/or Engineering Management

3. Production Operations Knowledge - Has a firm understanding of how complex production lines operate including key items such as industrial workings between facilities/departments, line balance, OEE, error proofing, etc.

4. Background in manufacturing/industrial engineering required; supply chain highly desired

5. Understanding of how the manufacturing validation process runs in relation to complex new products that stretch across various engineer teams and manufacturing centers/factories (methodology, validation plans, associated KPIs)

6. Great understanding of design for manufacturability, process design, process validation, and assembly methods

7. Ability to read and interpret basic mechanical drawings or CAD models

8. Strong interpersonal skills dealing with all levels of an organization. Able to effectively and confidently communicate to senior and executive level leadership

9. Strong written and verbal communication skills in both English and Mandarin.

10. Well versed with common workplace software (word processor, spreadsheet, database, etc). Excellent organizational skills

11. Able to be a creative thinker and devise creative solutions to complicated problems

12. Excellent problem solving skills; adverse in various problem solving methodologies

13. Team player; ability to work in a fast-paced, multi-cultural environment with cross-functional teams
