Purpose of the role - how it adds value：
Responsible for implementing and monitoring the lean manufacturing, quality and safety improvement activities of Mainetti Group companies and licencees as directed by the Director of Global Operations and Sustainability (DGOS) and the Group Quality Director (GQD).

Key Role Deliverables:
The Group Lean Practitioner is accountable for the following:
Conducting lean manufacturing audits that identify improvement areas in production and quality
Conducting factory health and safety audits against the Group Health and Safety Manual, Code of Conduct as well as national and international legislation
Working with local management teams to design, develop, implement and monitor appropriate improvement plans to address action points highlighted in the audits above and specific priorities as directed.
Promoting lean, quality, health and safety awareness throughout all companies and conducting training activities as directed by the DGOS/GQD.
Participating in and delivering national and international projects
Implementation and delivery of restructures that may be necessary to optimise company performance
Compilation and accuracy of regular and ad-hoc reports relating to production, quality and safety.

Experience:
3-5 years practical experience of lean manufacturing implementation
Experience of health and safety auditing and action/goal setting
Experience of factory auditing and action/goal setting
Significant change management experience bringing improvements in operational performance to a department or business

Other Significant Role Requirements:
Sound knowledge of injection moulding and downstream processes
Results driven
Ability to be creative with solutions

Scope of Role:
The role is related to the companies of the Mainetti Group and her licencees.
Some work may be required in third party companies such as suppliers or customers as directed by the DGOS or GQD

Technical Knowledge:
Educated to degree standard in an engineering/technical discipline.
Practical knowledge of lean manufacturing and Six-Sigma principles, tools and techniques
Holder of a NEBOSH (UK National Examination Board for Occupational Safety and Health) International General Certificate or equivalent.

People Management:
The incumbent has no direct reports however is required to work with and influence teams at all levels of seniority.
