Main tasks and responsibilities:
Sourcing new suppliers:
1. Proactively source new suppliers through visits to trade fairs, internet research ,recommendations, etc.
2. Evaluate potential new suppliers.Request first protos and price quotations and evaluate these. Arrange QC audit and ensure BSCI compliance
Production allocation:
1. Work together with the superior on the seasonal sourcing strategy and production allocation at all relevant milestones in the defined sourcing process.
2.Request production capacity information from suppliers and sense-check this against the supplier set-up and the IOF need
Supplier evaluation:
1. Work closely with product development and the superior in creating corrective action plans for poor performing suppliers.
2. Support in the communication and follow-up with the supplier
Supporting in corporate social responsibility (CSR):
1.Control and monitor all existing suppliers’ and factories’ BSCI status to ensure all factories are BSCI compliant
2.Follow up with suppliers to ensure factory audit CAPs are implemented
Others:
1. Work closely with related functions to fulfill the CSR strategies
2. Undertake projects or tasks assigned by the superior
Requirements:
1.Strong understanding of all aspects of the product development and production of apparel
2.Strong knowledge of all factors affecting product pricing
3.Basic knowledge of the European and other Western markets
4.Basic knowledge of all internal standards related to apparel
5. Language skills: good at speaking and writing in both mandarin and English
6. Computer skills: familiar with MS office, excel, PPT, outlook
7. Good Communication and presentation skills
8. Good Negotiation and conflict management skills
9. Open and approachable personality
10.Project management skills: able to plan activities of a project under guidance; coordinate participants involved the project and organize activities according to planning
11. Self-aware and willing to learn and improve; able to adopt herself/himself to the changeable environment
