The Fabrics Division is seeking an Associate for Materials Leader. In addition to the local commitments the leader will be a member of the Global Materials Team identifying and driving continuous improvement activities across all manufacturing sites.
On a day to day basis this commitment requires the associate to lead a team responsible for: Raw Material Purchasing; Short Term Scheduling; Planning; Inventory, DOT and S&OP for our manufacturing operation in Shenzhen
Primary Commitments:
? Provide leadership and functional mentorship for Planner/Buyer, Short-term Scheduling, and Capacity planning associates
? Drive functional excellence within the Materials organization
? Ensure global consistency of processes to meet business needs
? Challenge current thinking and organizational models to drive continuous improvement
? Prioritize portfolio of improvement efforts
? Enable development opportunities for qualified Associates
? Champion continuous improvement through:
o Identification of the key opportunities and gaps,
o Coordination with the appropriate teams (IT, project teams, local practitioners, etc.) to deliver improvements.
? Partner closely with other Sourcing Leaders to reduce risk and materials spend within our Supply Chains on a global basis
Commitment detail:
? Coordinate activities of Materials team - prioritization, resourcing, communication
? Influence appropriate review/management of local supply chain metrics (DOT, inventory, spend, alignment, etc)
? Process scope: Buying, Planning (including Greige Goods), Scheduling, Capacity, PDM
? Close tie with Warehouse and Logistics teams
? Align with the Sales function for forecasting, customer service support, rules of engagement
? Build functional excellence via development of Associate skill sets
? Ensure global communication and alignment with Manufacturing Leadership
Qualifications
? 10 years’ experience in Supply Chain and related topics, with minimum of 3 years’ experience in leadership
? Effective Leader with a proven track record for matching Associates with business needs, and providing effective and timely feedback to Associates and teams
? Effective communication skills, with the ability to be clear and concise communicator of facts, suppositions, and visions, as appropriate
? Ability to keep the functional teams focused on agreed upon priorities
? Demonstrated ability to lead and manage projects and hold team members accountable
? Demonstrated ability to influence associates, with strong capability to formulate concepts and gain buy in for ideas
? Travel likely at 10 – 15%
