职位描述：
RESPONSIBILITIES

1.Develop assigned projects from concept to model approval, including the final approval from the design engineer / client;
2.Collaborate w/ costing team, production engineering team, supplier and external resources to source, design, develop and validate the product designer/design engineer’s concepts to ensure they meet requirements of cost, safety, quality and function;
3.Explore and introduce new technologies, components, and materials into the concept and development process, liaising with he QA team to ensure qualification of any new materials;
4.Develop the product engineering specification for assigned projects, to include detailed Product BOM highlighting any critical performance materials / considerations (e.g. high impact resin, re-grind levels etc.);
5.Study the manufacturability and value engineering of new product concept to ensure highest product value within target price using efficient manufacturing processes. Provide input/preliminary feedback to design engineers as part of the design process;
6.Conduct risk assessment of all new development products to identify areas of high risk for mass production/intervention and make appropriate adjustments to mitigate risks;
7.Liaise with production engineers and QA to understand any issues/failures during the production stages and/or customers complaints, provide intervention suggestions and influence future product designs.

REQUIREMENTS

1.Bachelor’s degree or above in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering or equivalent
2.China-based Role w/ ability to travel to Hong Kong regularly
3.Engineering/ development / design experience necessary
4.Must be able to work independently with strong communication/ influencing skills
5.High proficiency in written and spoken English and Chinese
6.Accountable and strong decision-making skills
7.3-D computer knowledge (CAD & CAM) an advantage
8.Injection Molding and manufacturing process experience preferred
