As a Finance Assistant, you will use your skills to:
Provide the Digital Ventures offices with support around timesheet/expense submissions, AP processing, and various system reporting and reviews.
Time & expense processing
? Processes time/expense reports for all staff, auditing expenses, and resolving discrepancies and missing receipts
? Track outstanding timesheets submissions for the US Digital Ventures team and notify finance manager when corrective action is required
? Assists with maintaining the T&B system and related transaction
Case management
? Record and control all Vendor activity to ensure proper revenue recognition and cost control
? Keeps project list current
? Opens and closes client project numbers
? Team with Business Analyst teams to issue client invoices
US Digital Ventures reporting and reviews
? Assist in the preparation of weekly/monthly reports including: red zone reporting, engineering capacity report and AR & WIP
? Maintain IP, proposal and SDV code tracking files
Accounts payable
? Assist with local office financial system (Oracle based) to support functions
? Assist BCG accounts payable team to ensure an efficient AP process
o obtain relevant approval for out of cycle payment runs
o reconcile vendor statements as required
o provide reports to finance manager
o services all vendor inquiries

As a Finance Assistant, you will need:
Computer Skills:
o working knowledge of PC environment, Windows, Microsoft Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
Service Orientation:
o candidates must exhibit a high degree of service orientation in responding to all customer requests, both internal and external
o Professional demeanour
Organization/Versatility/Time Management:
o must be able to organize, multi-task, and prioritize appropriately and meet tight deadlines
o must be able to achieve maximum time effectiveness, eliminating tasks that contribute the least to the goals of the team and office and concentrating on tasks that will most enhance the business
o Meticulous attention to detail
o The ability to prioritize multiple tasks with long- and short-term response requirements
Communication Skills:
o must excel in effective and positive communications and responsiveness (both spoken and written ability), demonstrating confidence and clarity of thought
Teamwork:
o must be able to work well as part of a team, as well as on independent projects
o must focus on contribution to overall office goals and BCG DV team
o must exhibit a positive attitude and willingness to develop
o Must be flexible to work overtime when needed
Achievement/Reliability:
o must demonstrate an ability to consistently and dependably achieve bottom-line results with regard to services provided to the office and the consulting staff
o Self-starting attitude, resourcefulness
As a Finance Assistant, we are looking for someone with:
? BA/BS required
? 1-3 years of experience working in a finance position (professional services preferred)
? Extensive use of Windows as well as Oracle database and Oracle forms or comparable systems
? Experience planning, managing, and executing events
? Strong project management skills; Results/action-oriented
? If something can be improved, take the initiative to improve process without being asked
? Effective interpersonal skills, with an ability to interface with clients, executives and personnel at all levels
? Team player, willing to be flexible, take on additional tasks as necessary and adjust to changing priorities
? Ability to work overtime
