Supply Planning Manager

POSITION OVERVIEW

This associate will be actively engaged in driving top performance in supply planning to support the company’s growth and development. The successful candidate is an energetic, results oriented manager with a strong track record of executing a robust and integrated supply and capacity planning.

Reporting to the Senior Supply Planning Manager, he/she holds the responsibility for driving and continuously developing a best in class Supply planning operations for SONOS; continuously monitoring and transparently displaying the performance of this operation, and partnering with Contract Manufacturer and Sonos internal teams to ensure a transparent planning of SONOS products within agreed levels of service, cost and inventory.


Specific Responsibilities

? Working closely with SONOS Global Planning Team to ensure supply plan can meet DCs’ ETA requirements within an integrated planning cycle
? Managing the master production plan and purchase order of CMs to ensure stability and on-target performance of production in line with agreed Business Plan targets, budgets and strategy goals. Driving for improvement of supply performance.
? As the owner of supply commitment, coordinating with cross functional teams and manage exceptions in supply operations to ensure any risk on supply fulfilment is timely settled.
? Driving long term and mid-term capacity planning for finished goods based on global supply plan. Monitor capacity utilization and smooth out big fluctuations by leveraging production schedule and inventory level.
? Managing production transition between EOL and NPI products. Facilitate all the related changes to support Global inventory plan, launch schedule and capacity ramp down/up.
? Monitoring demand dynamics and supply availability and providing visibility between the Global Planning and Supply base.
? Managing supply planning and transaction systems to improve operational excellence.
? Lead and participate improvement programs related to supply planning area assigned by management.

Required experience:

An ideal candidate for Supply Planning Manager role will have the following skills and experience:

? Proven caliber with a minimum 8 years’ experience in a demand and supply planning manager’s role in the computer, networking or consumer electronics industry.
? Significant experience in collaborating with, and ensuring reliable performance of top-tier Electronics Manufacturing Service (EMS) providers, particularly in China.
? Proven track record of building strong relationships with EMS partners and driving execution excellence through effective collaboration, teamwork, process development, and systems integration.
? Significant experience in demand-driven operating models with EMS partners.
? Significant experience in working in a multinational company under demanding environment.
? Ability to lead and influence beyond immediate functional boundaries and manage key stakeholders both internally and in EMSs
? Passion for numbers and metrics – must be data driven.
? Excellent written and oral communication skills – in English and Mandarin
? Willingness to embrace and drive change, innovative problem solver. Naturally curious.
  
Qualifications:
? Bachelor Degree and 8+ years of related work experience in high-tech manufacturing, consumer electronics and supply chain. MBA is preferable.
? Significant experience in a variety of manufacturing and/or planning environments.
? Excellent communication (verbal and written) in both English and Mandarin, interpersonal, and conflict resolution skills
? Significant experience implementing ERP systems and planning tools.
? Must have demonstrated the ability to “roll up the sleeves” when needed.
