Principal Job Responsibilities:
1. Drive product strategy by translating marketing opportunity and customer need into new products and product features.
2. Responsible for creation of the product line(s), product roadmap, including SKU information, preliminary forecasting, cost targets and key features/benefits.
3. Oversee development of the product line(s) in order to hit key targets for product positioning (generally) as well as specific details, functionality and cost (specifically).
4. Maintain line logic that will result in the product line meeting targets for performance and business growth using market feedback along with sales and production data.
5. Manage Product line PRDs/MRDs, NPI, GTM, PSI, EOL transition and rollover.
6. Manage daily actions of the development team as well as drive design efforts (internal or external) so that the vision for the line is accurately executed.
7. Strong sense of ownership and passion to create and pursue an effective sourcing strategy to align goals for the category.
8. Collaborate cross-functionally and with team members to synergize and compliment cross-collaboration initiatives.
9. Ability to think out-of-the box and participate proactively through brainstorming.
10. Travel to tradeshows, material shows, dealers and partner with vendors to track market trends and innovative materials and constructions.
11. Perform other duties as assigned by the Director including market research, competitor analysis, sales analysis, channel analysis, etc.
Qualifications and Experiences:
1. Bachelor degree in Marketing or Engineering.
2. Over 7 years of prior product management experience in one or more of these category: Lifestyle or action sports industry, IoT, Networking products, Smart Home, RF/ Wireless communications, Augmented Reality, Smart Learning Products, Immersive Contents, Elderly care systems, Elderly care assist products, Powered mobility, Travel Gears, Consumer Electronics.
3. Must have a demonstrated work history of successful team collaboration and the ability to provide direction and make team members feel valued.
4. Must have experience with market research and the ability to determine what market needs and demands exist.
5. Must have solid vendor relations skills.
6. Must be able to communicate clearly and effectively at all levels of organization.
7. Must display strong organizational skills, be able to handle multiple tasks and manage priorities in a focused but flexible manner.
8. Excellent command of both written and spoken English and Chinese
