Key Areas of Responsibility
?The Field Application Engineer is a technical member of the marketing/Sales organization, the main role is to drive the technical aspect of the sales process, by doing technical demos and proof of concept, delivering technical presentations and supporting the customer engineering evaluation and deployment, for products and services in China.
?Pre-Sales
？ Collaborating with sales team to provides front-line technical support
？ Identifying converting, and document customer requirements
？ Provides ongoing training to the sales team to improve their technical knowledge
?Post-Sales
？ Supporting existing wins
？ On-site helps customers with integration, providing local technical and logistical support to ensure successful adoption of Philips Lighting system solutions by customers
？ Provides ongoing training to customers for better knowing our products and improve the user experience.
？ Regular service and technical support for existing accounts

Knowledge & Critical Experiences
?You must have 3+ years of prior experience working in a technical, customer facing role.
?You must have 3+ years of software development experience, ideally in one (or more) of the following industries: Lighting, Metering, and Industrial Automation.
?Strongly preferred rich knowledge in hardware and embedded applications
?Good understanding of relevant communication protocols such as cellular (NB-IoT / Cat-M1), Zigbee, LoRa, and 6LoWPAN
?proven experience in negotiations (features, milestones, deliverables, etc)
?Good English skill (both writing and verbal)
?Have at least a Bachelor’s degree in EE, CS or related field, or proven equivalent experience
?Experience in a PaaS / SaaS / IaaS organization is a plus
?Traveling frequency: 50%+
