Key responsibilities:
Vendor Management: Responsible for vendor commercial relevant business including contract negotiation, contract engagement, service scope design and definition, cost negotiation, change requests, service fulfillment and service level management; Also vendor governance engagement, including service default negotiation, service credit or penalty management, service continuous improvement involvement.
- Drive new service deal opportunity engagement
- Run service contract initiation and negotiation
- Design and implement service support models
- Manage service scope definition and processes design
- Lead service contract price bargaining and negotiation
- Produce service governance model design and processes down to ground
- Initiate service default if service KPI breach targets or scope changes
- Trigger service credit or penalty management if SLAs(Service Level Agreement) are breached
- Participate service contract termination management
- Lead & manage vendor resource loading and deployment
- Lead service continuous improvement to deliver committed service quality
- Identify and produce key metrics reports that drive efficient operations
- Document and gain approval from Senior management team and run internal approval process for new service contract

Service Transition: Responsible for all products and services transition to production support environment and managed effectively and efficiently. Enforce and govern the Service Transition process in alignment with Pearson global standards. Continuously analyze the support model and pricing structures and initiate changes based on strategic alignment with business needs and global strategy.
- Support the definition of service support scope based on business requirements gathered during project initiation.
- Lead definition and management of all operational aspects of the service/product lifecycle.
- Participate BAU (Business as Usual) or Operation period cost estimation engagement for business case
- Support to setup BAU delivery model and support process
- Be engaged with PMO team for project PDLC(Project Development Life Cycle) review
- Support PMO team to run vendor selection
- Manage to run BAU service contract, service scope, pricing and KPIs with PMO team in project implementation period
- Estimate current service portfolio include support model, scope, cost and KPIs with Technology Shared Service (TSS) team
- Support TSS team running service transition from local teams or local vendors to TSS
- Track TSS to provide same service quality in same SLA and price compared with original support teams.
- Accountable for TSS to improve service quality based on local business requirements
- Document all transition and transformation materials and lead release management

Service Engagement and Design: Responsible for service delivery model designed to meet Direct Delivery (DD) requirements. Drive deep engagement with all relevant parties for new services initiation including new digital products, new service delivery model, new service processes and tools. Be responsible for the overall management and delivery of the TechOps services supported by outsourced vendors. Strong collaboration and engagement across various functional teams including Architecture team, Global product teams, and Business Process, Procurement, Legal teams, and has the overall responsibility to drive the services to optimal levels
- Serve as a service delivery process designer of relevant projects, products and services
- Drive newly transitioned projects through warranty period to deliver quality support model
- Design and implement the support model for new digital products
- Engage to create external customers delivery model and KPIs
- Manage the budget, timeline, resources, scope for new services
- Share best practices and consulting to relevant parties throughout duration of the new digital products’ service
- Drive process flow analysis and process redesign along with the Solutions Architect team or other relevant parties
- Produce a detailed new service delivery plan to match external or internal customer requirements
- Participate in training design, documentation and delivery efforts in concert with all related team members
- Drive client satisfaction (CSAT) consistent with the business requirements.
- Document all relevant service engagement and design materials and run release management

Experience/Skills
● Minimum 10 year experience in IT industry in multi-national company
● Strong leadership and team management skill
● Good oral (English & Mandarin) and written presentation skills
● Good organizational and time management skills (highly self-directed and able to manage and prioritize multiple concurrent and competing challenges, issues, ambiguities, and contradictions)
● Good communication skill and other soft skills
● Essential Financial knowledge and skill
● People management knowledge and skill
● ITIL and Project management knowledge
● A team player who can also work independently
● A free thinker who can bring new ideas to the table and demonstrate well thought out plans to execute them if appropriate
● Self-motivated and self-management skills

● Bachelor’s degree or equivalent relevant experience
