Knowledge / Skills / Qualifications
Relevant experience in a buying office / retailer with a manufacturing background
Computer literate – proficient in Microsoft office applications
Key Accountabilities:
To work with the George supply base to deliver consistent production standards across all factories that comply with the George and/or industry standards.
Attend pre-production meetings supporting Garment Technology and Product teams
Carry out in line and final audits, goods to the agreed standard before leaving the factory
Implement “Industry Best Practice” and George standard operating procedures work to improve manufacturing techniques and efficiencies
Train the George supply base on transit packaging methods and full adherence to George guidelines.
Understanding of functional strategy and department objectives.
Deliver your quality measures and improvements for the year ahead gaining buy in through your supply base
Right product – right supplier – right 1st time approach in line with the George technical manual.
Influencing supplier selection across your peer group.
All production in Ethically and Technically approved factories
Network externally and seek opportunities that will benefit George in terms of new manufacturing techniques
Accountability to manage travel and head count costs favourable to plan
Works and contributes to operating model owned by George UK to drive consistency across the zones
Drives and delivers the Leaderships framework
Set Team SMART objectives for direct reports.
Up skilling & coaching supplier base through George Supplier Academy
Accountability to drive overall cost reduction within function and through the supply base
Accountable for all supplier visits promoting the George ways of working
Timely inputting of data onto George systems
Implementation of Lean manufacturing process’s in line with George’s zonal strategy.
All identified partners to attend supplier academy
Report progress and plan George supplier academy activity within the supply chain
Technically sign off all new factories for product groups before any production is placed
Adopts Every Day Low Cost principles and works with colleagues/suppliers to control costs and add value in different ways
Input into seasonal reviews of the existing supply base and report back to Senior Product technologist on risks and opportunities
To deliver right first time product off the production line to ensure quality, style and value is delivered to the customer on time.
Co-ordinate inspections within supply chain and update all systems.
Co-ordination and training of the George Supplier Academy and contribute to the content of modules. 举报 分享
