RESPONSIBILITIES: ? Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Business and relationship company representative ? Represents EDI as a sales and business development executive and who is highly knowledgeable and skilled in EDI's core business for both internal and external meetings and events. Needs to invest time to develop an in-depth understanding about all major aspects of the company's products, development processes, and basic technologies.
Project Liaison Manager ? Manages business development and sales process projects ensuring quality and conformance to plan, resolves open issues, keeps management informed regarding project status, escalates open issues as needed,
? provides and manages work plans of supporting Project personnel, collaborates with program manager, sales team, and company management to accomplish business goals and objectives
Business development and Sales process lead ? Identifies new business or sales opportunities with customers, partners, government entities, suppliers, and other prospects for EDI's products, services, or for technology collaboration.
Personnel development (later after additional hiring is completed) ? Develops subordínate personnel from a capability, skills, and career perspective by ensuring they receive coaching, feedback, clearly stated workplans, and increasing levels of responsibility and challenges.
? Performs personnel administrative functions as per company guidelines including but not limited to performance appraisals, record keeping, and conformance to legal requirements.
? Actively participates in identifying and recruiting talent and necessary resources when open positions are created
Industry knowledge/awareness ? Actively develops own awareness and understanding of industry events, technology evolution, partnerships, competition and other factors critical to competing and in making optimum business and technology proposals to customers
Customer interaction/sales support ? Functions as a trusted and highly capable business representative of the company in customer interactions including meetings, calls, reports, proposals, webinars, conferences and other related events. Maintains a highly profesional demeanor and builds strong relationships with company sales and business development representatives
Budgets and schedules ? Develops and/or participates in the development of sales department's budgets and schedules in China
? Maintains a focus and does whatever is possible in order to accomplish the organization's Schedule inline with approved or committed budgets
Environment ? Maintains a safe and quality oriented work environment
? Conforms to legal requirements
? Actively seeks methods and develops proposals to enhance the work environment
Morale ? Actively seeks to maintain good personnel morale and invests energy into building team morale when needed
Metrics: ? Evaluation for each major job responsibility will be provided semi-annually
? Emphasis will be on accomplishing the organization's committed goals (ie business and sales targets etc), ability to develop strong working relationships with other company personnel, and to develop positive revenue oriented relationships with customers and prospects
Comments: Role is primarily business development and sales process oriented. Compensation plan can be a combination of salary and sales commissions.
Background/Experience: Ideal candidate would have 7+ years of experience in business development or sales in the automotive industry in China. Business or technical degree required. Bi-lingual capability with existing automotive industry relationships considered a major plus. Must be able to work independently to achieve key company goals and objectives.
