Acoustics Design Engineer

Invent, implement and test acoustic design on GoPro cameras. Not only to make GoPro cameras the best in sound recording quality, but also maintain performance in situations where our customers want to record their activities.
 

Skills We're Stoked About
? MS, Ph.D, or BS with proven experience in acoustic design and testing of consumer electronic devices.
? More than 5 years of experience in one or more areas:
o Owning the audio performance responsibility in a consumer product
o Translating product requirements into acoustic, mechanic and EE design requirements
o Selection and Integration of miniature acoustic transducers.
o Lab testing of acoustic performance using AP or other audio analyzer
o Trouble shooting: trace audible artefacts back to HW or Mechanical design issues
o Algorithm tuning and verification on product level
o Defining test plans for manufacturing
? Ability to work independently and collaborate with audio team in the US in a team
? Fluent in spoken and written English
? Willingness to learn and develop new technology
? Application software development experience a plus, but not required
? Experience in high volume consumer electronics industry
