Job Description

- Initiates, Establish and coordinates development of sales action plans focusing on both new & existing customers.

- Formulate within sales management guidelines on development strategies to support strong business growth.

- Identify and penetrate into new market or customer base.

- Aggressively source and secure new accounts / business.

- Develop and maintain existing customers to optimise service quality, business growth and customer satisfaction.

- Work with team to update market intelligence for potential customers, traffic mix, competition to enable formulation of effective sales strategies.

- Risk assessment of department including updates, controls & evaluation.

- Establish and build up a pool of customers.

- Maintain good, professional working relationship and effective communications with existing, new customers and all internal departments, affiliate offices & partners.

- Review and meet budgeted set sales targets and ensure all business transactions meet P&L objectives.

- Establish development of businesses locally or overseas.

- Able to travel at short notices & take on overseas short-term business development niche assignments.

- Sets up business development campaigns and participate aggressively.

- Monitor and ensure prompt payments for customer receivables.

- Generate annual development budgets.

- Perform any other job related duties as assigned.


Qualifications

- A minimum Diploma / Degree in Sales, marketing, BA / Logistics or the equivalent.

- Posses own vehicle, a valid Class 3/3A driving license an added advantage.

- A minimum 3 year Sales Or Business Development experience in the Logistics or Freight Forwarding industry (Preference given for candidates with proven sales track record).

- Good Attitude, independent, team player & Self motivated.

- Outspoken, energetic and charismatic.

- Good interpersonal, negotiation & communication skills.

- Strong presentation skills with fluency in both written & spoken English.

- Computer Literate & familiar with MS Office.

- Good knowledge in freight & operations.
