Responsibilities:



· Ensure consistency and quality of all packaging being produced on behalf of major clients

· Oversee problems and provide technical evaluation of print and/or pre-press issues

· Co-ordinate & manage resourcing of technical services team to ensure efficient allocation of department work & resources

· Build and maintain relationships between printers, product manufacturers and clients

· Evaluate and certify printers

· Set up color standards and work with our production facilities to ensure accurate films and proofs are being produced & based on the technical analysis of the printers

· Set up print quality programs for customers

· Conduct internal and external training

· Keep abreast of new technical services developments to ensure Schawk maintains leadership in its industry

· Work with key industry players and printers, exchanging ideas, sharing information and solutions with production team and sales personnel

People Development & Management

· Conduct proper assessment and selection of potential employees

· Supervise and coordinate the work functions of the employees in the department

· Communicate employee goals and conduct periodic performance review

· Improve employee's performance through developmental programs

· Develop strong second line through close mentoring of subordinates

· Ensure effective manpower utilisation and back up for relief/contingency

· Motivate, coach and foster team building within and between departments to encourage co-operation in achieving goals

Communication

· Communicate and seek buy-in/agreement with the Managing Director, Corporate HQ and/or peers on action plans and/or policies or procedures

· Communicate with staff on corporate & departmental matter to ensure employees are aware of leadership initiatives and business activities



Job Requirements:



· Minimum 5 years experience in the printing industry (offset printing, printing, ink, substrates)

· Minimum 3 years of managerial experience

· Experience in color management

· Good eye for color and printing quality

· Ability to write and produce good structured reports

· Good communication skills both in English and Mandarin-Native Speaker is preferred
