职位描述：
Senior Supply Base Engineer, Mechanical Processes
 
Location: Shanghai/Suzhou Area, China
 
General Summary:
 
Be part of the revolution as the Supply Base Engineer (SBE) at Sonos! 

As a Mechanical Process SBE you will be responsible for selection, development, implementation, and optimization of secondary process for mechanical components and subassemblies. This includes but not limited to such processes as CNC milling, polishing, bluffing, and gap filling.

You will work with Product Development team, Industrial Design and Product Realization Leader to assess product features for manufacturability and recommend capable processes, equipment. You will be i***olved in Design for Manufacture studies and present conclusion to support Product Engineering position.

You will work with Global Sourcing Managers to assess supplier’s secondary processes for capacity, quality and cost, and work with suppliers to define and refine tooling, fixtures and establish capability.

You will work with the rest of On The Ground Team to support product phase builds from Prototype Build through to EVT, DVT, PVT and mass production ramp.

You will be responsible for secondary process yields and capacity to meet program requirements and sustaining of high yields in mass production. 

You will be responsible for root cause analysis studies and corrective action plan implementation, and assist postproduction quality/ cost improvement activity related to fixtures and processes.

Travel domestically and internationally to supplier sites as projects require
             
The Ideal Candidate:
? BS in Mechanical, Plastics Engineering or related field with 8+ years related work experience
? Deep understanding and experience with high volume mechanical product manufacturing methodology and implementation.
? Experience in developing manufacturing processes with supplier. Strong background developing fixtures, jigs across a variety of fabrication and assembly processes.
? Strong hands-on experience of mechanical secondary processes such as CNC Machining/lathing, polishing, gap filling
? Proficient with the use of DFM, GD&T, SPC, DOE and other Six Sigma techniques.
? Fluency in Mandarin and English. Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Extra Points:
? Additional experience with product design, automation, and quality management is a plus.
? Additional knowledge on plastics and metals material is a plus.
? Engineering program management background
