Who You Are:
A meticulous, detail-oriented, experienced mechanical engineer, who’s familiar with consumer product development. You’re looking for your next challenge and have an interest in joining a fast-growing US startup with offices in Shenzhen, NYC, Montreal, and Malalos. You like to learn every day and you want to challenge existing assumptions of how things should be done. You are a strong technical leader excited to grow a product research and development team in Shenzhen.

As a member of an extremely creative, talented and motivated team, you’ll work closely with our New York office, as well as our suppliers and manufacturers in China. You’ll be integral member of our product development team in Shenzhen. As Mohawk continues to grow, you will take on a leadership role within a product research and development team of 3-4 people.
 
What You’ll be Doing:
-Research and development of next-generation hardware products
-Design and architect products from prototype to mass production
-Interface with Chinese prototyping shops and CMs throughout the product development process
-Provide oversight during manufacturing of parts you and your team have designed
-Grow and lead mechanical engineering team in Shenzhen
 
Qualifications
-BS in mechanical engineering with 6+ years of industry experience
-Expertise in mechanical design of consumer products (injection molding, material selection, thermal analysis, DFM and DFA, stress analysis)
-Experience in mechanical design for user experience (eg. human interface points such as button feel, light piping, surface finish, clamping force etc.)
-Must have functional familiarity with electronics (power, current, voltage, AC/DC, heat dissipation requirements, etc.)
-Proficient with Solidworks (Solidworks Simulation, Solidworks Plastics, and Solidworks PDM experience is a plus)
-Experience working closely with a multidisciplinary team, consisting of electrical engineers, firmware engineers, and industrial designers.
-Expertise in iterative product development cycle
-Experience with home appliances a plus
-Experience with beauty tools a plus
-Technical component selection and sourcing experience a plus
-Rapid prototyping experience (machining and additive manufacturing skills are a plus) 举报 分享
