Senior Specialist Material Flow Planning

Corporate Division Strategy & Logistics
Division, located in Shenyang/China
Employment – full time

Tasks

• Independent planning of Chinese logistics performances, structures and concepts (early phase, Product Development Process (PEP), serial process) for transport logistics, service provider selection and supplier selection, for sourcing type analysis in new car projects and operating with long-term corporate planning and budget planning with supply costs

Key Responsibilities

• To develop plant logistics concept in terms of lean production


• Full knowledge in warehouse planning


• Layout planning


• To develop information technology of whole logistics area


• Planning Logistics equipment and facilities


• Planning Industrial engineering


• Knowledge in the production process of a vehicle plant


• Conducting Continuous improvement in physical operation - saving space and cost


• Technical purchasing preparation and Implementation of logistic processes


• Realization of tender negotiations and contract negotiations as well as contract design for logistic services. This includes comprehensive knowledge, design and application of the international contract law


• Preparation of decisions on purchase that have influence on own processes, but also on other processes of other resorts / sales companies


• Cooperation and steering functions, projects


• Project leading and steering


• Responsible projects


• Responsible for smooth production of whole assembly line


• Objectives competences


• Pushing the agreements on objectives in projects and line functions with process partner. Responsibility for realization and monitoring considering higher resort and costs targets


• Agreement of process specific targets with project leadership and partners and enforcement of agreements against BMW departments (line functions, technology circle logistics, center of competences, work group, others) and logistic service provide


• Ensure the smooth production of production line


• Service level agreement set up between interface departments


• Problem solving and trouble shooting for regular operation


• Cost planning control and specify a target


• Budget plan for the responsible business


• Achieve the annual target of cost control


• Leadership. To lead project people subject to project

Qualifications

• University degree / graduated in Logistics management, MBA, Industrial engineering


• Knowledge in the production process of a vehicle plant


• Knowledge of Logistics and supply chain planning and management


• Knowledge in project management and steering


• Skills with technical drawing


• Knowledge of contract management and 3PL management


• Knowledge of production process in a car manufacturing plant


• Proficient English, German would be an advantage


• Sense in quality management


• Knowledge in Lean thinking


• Great analytical skills (e.g. cause-effect relationship between process and technology)


• Great sense of responsibility and great cost awareness


• Background in Automobile industry, 7-10 Years


• Experience with logistics planning, 4-6 Years


• Several years experience in leading people, 1-3 Years
