Primary Function:

Quality Inspection Specialist will be responsible for conducting quality control (QC) inspections/verifications, quality control metrics, production monitoring, and testing on manufacturing supplies, in-process materials, and finished products. This also includes the checking of information for the products, shipping marks, etc. He or she shall comply with AQL standards, and other applicable requirements and regulations. This position work under the guidance of the Quality Control Manager in managing the China Supplier Product Quality per Char-Broil Product Quality requirements, qualification procedures and workmanship standards.

Specific Responsibilities:

1. Conduct Product In-Line and Pre-Shipment Inspection according to Char-Broil Product Quality requirements, qualification procedures and workmanship standards.

2. Perform Inspections and support the QC Testing and Verification of productions if needs

3. Draft, write and issue Inspection Report in English based on actual Inspection findings and observations.

4. Conduct Inspection, review and confirm all defectives and defects with Supplier related responsible people.

5. Send daily and weekly Inspection report to the Supplier according to defined format/content including daily issue handling, sorting, rework and production line follow up etc.

6. Conduct smooth communication with Supplier Quality team and follow up accordingly, and assess and escalate to the Char-Broil Quality Control Manager if there is any disagreement or argument.

7. Conduct and support any tasks related to Inspection and Quality as assigned by the Quality Control Manager.

8. Coordinate/Accompany customer’s Pre-Shipment Inspection and ensure all requirements are well in conformance for shipment

Qualifications:

9. Certificate or Diploma in Mechanical, Electrical or Electronic Engineering or equivalent.

10. Minimum 5 years working experience in inspecting outdoor products such BBQ equipment, outdoor furniture and electronic and electrical products.

11. Computer Skills: Word, Excel, Power Point, Microsoft Outlook.

12. Good Working knowledge of Quality Systems and ISO standards is a plus.

13. Possess knowledge in Porcelain Enameling, Powder Coating, Plastic Injection Molding, Metal Stamping, Die-casting or Tooling and Deep Draw is a plus

14. Good communications in written English and Mandarin.

15. Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams within the company and at the Suppliers.

16. Willing to travel extensively and work at the supplier location within China
