职位描述：
工作地点：广州大学城

1. PURPOSE
Develop, implement and maintain Quality Control and Configuration Management procedures to control and manage all changes during the life-time of EFD display products.
Supports a continuous process of improvement of the quality performance in the suppliers and evaluate customer quality complaints to address these complaints to the relevant part in the Supply Chain.
Support product development and production in, among others, DfA, ISO 9000 / 14000 qualification.

2. MAJOR ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Work with the Development Team in the design phase of a new product or process, to define process release for the new processes or Quality Description Sheets for each new component
- Work with Purchasing in the selection of Suppliers for these new components by leading supplier audits and supplier qualification programs
- Sets up a quality plan to include incoming material, manufacturing process control, outgoing quality control in the supplier, on-going reliability testing and closed loop corrective action process.
- Execute Qualification and Release tests of initial component and product samples
- Leads the qualification process for type approvals for the various countries (CB, CE, FCC, CSA, CCC...)
- Develop, implement and maintain temporary document control and configuration management procedures
- Collect data of the total quality performance of the most important suppliers. Communicates the results of the collected data on a monthly basis with MT and suppliers involved.
- Leads supplier audits and supplier qualification programs
- Drives production yield improvement programs with the suppliers and manufacturing partners.
- Works with Customer Support to define engineering improvement plans based on service calls

3. WORK RELATIONSHIPS
Sets up, aligns, implements and maintains the product quality program.
Escalates where necessary to achieve breakthroughs to realize potential quality improvements.
Cooperates with other departments to achieve budget, vendor policy, product policy.
Development and Manufacturing departments on engineering level.
Meets on a regular basis with the Quality- and Manufacturing departments of the suppliers.

4. DECISION-MAKING AND IMPROVEMENT OPPORTUNITIES
Analyzes the product quality description and assurance, initializes improvement plans.
Investigates the quality performance of the suppliers and value this performance with a rating.
Qualify or disqualify suppliers in consultation with operations & Logistics.
Defines the action program to achieve the quality improvement targets.

5. MAJOR CHALLENGES
To achieve a communication structure to get adequate information from manufacturing and quality departments, to enable a pro-active quality improvement process for BOM materials, development processes and final products.

6. PERSON REQUIREMENT
- University level in a technical discipline
- Preferably 5 years of experience as quality engineer
- Excellent communication skills
- Focused and determined to achieve the targets
- Team builder
- Fluent in spoken and written English.
