Job Description:
1. Translate, proofread and publish Microchip technical documentations such as application notes, datasheets and user’s guides
2. Translate the corporate web site and maintain it regularly to ensure currency and accuracy
3. Translate and review marketing and communication materials such as press releases, technical articles, advertisements, flyers and product brochures
4. Perform other duties as assigned by the Greater China Translation Resource manager
Education:
Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Electronic Engineering is strongly preferred or equivalent degree in related discipline
Key Knowledge and Experience:
1. More than 2 years’ experience in the electronics industry, especially focus on the MCU and analog products; one year’s experience in project management an advantage
2. Experience in translation, proofreading and review of technical documentations
3. Strong command of written and spoken English and Chinese (at least a CET-6 pass in English)
4. Possess recognized translation certification(s) a distinct advantage
5. Knowledge of FrameMaker, SDL TRADOS, Adobe InDesign and other publishing and translation software tools strongly preferred
6. Basic knowledge of HTML/XML
Desirable Characteristics:
1. Strong sense of responsibility
2. Meticulous
3. Self-motivated and goal-oriented
