POSITION OVERVIEW

This associate will be actively engaged in driving top performance in material planning to support the company’s growth and development. The successful candidate is an energetic, results oriented manager with a strong track record of building a robust material management process and demonstrated capability in execution.

Reporting to the Senior Material Planning Manager, he/she holds the responsibility for driving and continuously developing a best in class material planning operations for SONOS; continuously monitoring and transparently displaying the performance of this operation, and partnering with the SONOS Supply Planning, Factory Operation Management and Logistics to ensure a robust execution of SONOS material planning strategy and process within agreed levels of service, cost and inventory.

Specific Responsibilities

? MP material support: make sure no material shortage for daily production;
? Indicators set and reports with EMS partners & Suppliers to provide the right visibility; proactively manage supply line, inventory risks and liabilities.
? Regular Forecast publish to suppliers for long term capacity preparation and cross check to avoid variance on demand/allocation from EMS partner;
? Regular capacity review and report for key suppliers to ensure material supply line is healthy to support production plans.
? Execution of supplier flexibility and liability agreement, keep monitor & feedback to make sure it’s in a healthy status;
? Partnering with the Sourcing, EMS and Supply Operation organizations to map out complex multi-tier supply chain networks. Create consistent and comprehensive visibility into materials pipeline In support of production plans.
? Manage Engineering changes for all MP products to make sure material transition go smoothly;
? Support NPI product launch for Risk buy/Capacity review/MP material readiness, etc;
? Proactively manage product EOL and transition to support SONOS business strategy;

Required experience:

An ideal candidate for Materials Planning role will have the following skills and experience:
? Strategic thinker with strong business acumen and ability to learn, adapt, and collaborate.
? Passion for building world class teams and processes to drive excellence in Materials Management
? Profound knowledge with a minimum of 5 years experiences in supply chain management, prefer to have experience in collaboration with EE components suppliers/Distributors, especially international manufactures;
? Prefer to have experience in collaborating with top-tier Electronics Manufacturing Service (EMS) providers, particularly in China.
? Significant experience in a contract manufacturing environment (Outsourcing)
? Prefer to have experience in VMI management or system/process setup;
? Readily and easily switches gears in response to unexpected events and circumstances
? Ability to lead and influence beyond immediate functional boundaries and manage key stakeholders both internally and in EMSs.
? Willingness to embrace and drive change
  
Qualifications:
? Bachelor Degree and 8+ years of related work experience in high-tech manufacturing, consumer electronics and supply chain.
? Significant experience in a variety of manufacturing and/or planning environments
? Excellent communication (verbal and written) in both English and Mandarin, interpersonal, and conflict resolution skills
? Able to travel as needed
