POSITION PURPOSE

This position will build out and leverage Asia operations to assist Global Sourcing business in terms of sourcing and products development, supplier assessment, cost management, quality and manufacturing control, supplier benchmarking, cost competitiveness as well as supply base improvement .

MAJOR TASKS, RESPONSIBILITIES, AND KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

1)Liaise with PDM and manufacturers. Plan trips with PDM to visit vendor/factory and follow up works. Work with PDM to plan 'buy' trips and product line reviews; look for opportunistic buys within market. Source and develop product as directed by the PDM. Manage the product development process and fulfill the role in the on boarding process.
2)Maintain and set up risk mitigation plan for the existing business.
3)Source, evaluate and develop additional manufacturers within product area.
4)Build relationship with existing supplier
5)Drive the execution level and compliance level of all suppliers in the category.
6)Attend Trade Shows within market to seek and evaluate new product developments and market intelligence.
7)Work with Packaging & Graphics Engineer to assure that all packaging and graphics meet the expectations of the PDM.
8)Work with quality and production control to improve product quality, drive out supply chain cost. Work with Supply Chain to maintain VOT and fill rate standards.
9)Coach and develop direct reports.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
?
1)Bachelor degree/MBA desirable, Business, Supply Chain, Engineering or Manufacturing background.
2)At least 5 years sourcing experience or other related industry in Asia.
3)Team leading experience is preferable.

3)Good negotiation skills and strong interpersonal and communication skills with
professional spirit
4)Strong problem solving and excellent organizational and project management skills,
able to work well in cross-functional teams
5)Very fluent in both oral and written English, willing to travel regularly within China and
abroad;
6)CPM and/or CPIM certification preferred;
7)Knowledge of global sourcing, international trading, manufacturing and engineering
design is preferred;
8)Computer literacy including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project;
9)Strong data analysis skill
