POSITION PURPOSE
The Talent Development Program Manager supports the company's transition to be a performance driven culture with engaged, knowledgeable and productive Team Members. This role creates, implements and manage strategic of talent development programs at the Home Depot Asia Sourcing Organization. This position plans and manages programs, processes and events related to the programs, and manage all program participants from nominating through graduation. The position works closely with functional leaders, participants, vendors and internal partners to ensure smooth execution of various program components, including talent planning, rotational assignments, learning, performance management, staffing and job placement.
MAJOR TASKS, RESPONSIBILITIES, AND KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
Talent Development Program and Project Management
· Work close with Managing Director, HR Director and Functional Leaders to identify the talents, and design the program to support Asia Sourcing Business. Create and implement Talent Development program infrastructure and framework to support organizational strategy. Includes Talent Development business rhythms, process and procedures.
· Serve as a specialist in the identification, planning, design and execution of development programs for team members.
· Regularly interact with Global Sourcing and Asia Sourcing management to measure the effectiveness of Talent Development programs, systems, tools and procedures. Create revised solutions based on these observations and feedback.
· Partner with Learning department to conduct training needs assessments; design curriculum; review courseware / presentations for quality and consistency; evaluate and partner with external training vendors
· Provide ongoing program management for the design, development and delivery of Talent Development projects/initiatives. This includes succession planning, talent planning and development, performance management process, engagement and talent processes.
· Implements and maintains specific Learning & Development-relevant tools and programs.
· Support overall team member training, which includes: virtual (eLearning, web based), job specific training, culture, company initiatives, etc. Includes current and future programs.
· Coordinate projects with Atlanta SSC Talent Development Team Members and corporate functions.
· Work with Talent Development and HR Business Partners on program/project implementation.
· Manage event planning and execution; attend programs and provide onsite coordination. Manage vendor relationships and functional relationships at all levels throughout the organization
· Rotation Placement: Design, implement and communicate quality standards for rotational assignments. Coordinate, communicate and execute placement of program participants in temporary job assignments. Monitor assignments and assignment managers on an ongoing basis to ensure quality of assignment and appropriateness to the program. Provide development tools and ensure proactive career planning and off program placement for participations
· Program Evaluation /Metrics: Establish and report program-related success metrics; Provide feedback/ debrief instructors and vendors
Other responsibilities include, but are not limited to: On-going process improvement
and streamlining with other development programs, 360 coaching of non-leadership
program participants, assessments for high potential associates, interviews for on program related positions
Talent Development Financial and Data Management
Financial Management:
· Evaluate and manage Talent Development program effectiveness; includes working with Talent Development Team Members/business on budget preparation, forecasting, ROI, variance analysis and creating reports to measure key business metrics, highlight important trends and identify opportunities for management.
· Provide executive summary and recommendations on solutions/actions
Data Management:
· Manage the integrity of Talent Development data for field and corporate to improve existing data and collect new information.
· Develop and maintain Talent Development dashboard.
Talent Development Administration
· Serve as department liaison by handling Talent Development communications and questions.
· Perform miscellaneous administrative duties as necessary.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
· Bachelor's degree and above. MBA is a plus
· At least 5 years Human Resources experience is strongly preferred
· Proficiency with MS Office
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
Technical knowledge of HR specialties including employment law, employee relations, management and organizational development, training and compensation
Strong coaching, counseling, negotiating and conflict management skills.
Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Excellent problem solving skills.
