职位描述：
In this role, you will draw upon a wide range of engineering knowledge and skills with a primary focus on the evaluation of external suppliers and materials to ensure fitness for use of parts, materials, processes, tests, and products. You will provide supplier quality engineering support for raw materials that are utilized throughout fabrics division. You will work in conjunction with procurement, vendor managers and manufacturing teams.

Responsibilities include:
? Supporting new product development and commercial manufacturing with part specifications and selection by participating in the review of part specifications and inspection procedures with the project teams, supply chain team, and suppliers to drive best choice supply decisions
? Proactively sourcing parts in a collaborative and progressive manner, including new supplier or part qualification through on-site supplier process capability assessments and validations, and product analysis
? Collaborating with suppliers and project teams on quality process characterization to develop appropriate part testing.
? Supplier problem solving, including root cause analysis, and driving corrective actions, on-site visits, and technical reviews. Collaborate with suppliers on part problems to reduce and/or eliminate materials issues to the supply chain
? Drive and support understanding of interactions between raw material properties and internal processes to allow for better specifications and faster new product development
? Partner with NPD and Process engineering team to grow organizational understanding of raw material properties and their interactions with our processing
? Partner with sourcing team to nurture excellent relationships with the suppliers, engineering, procurement globally
? Championing continuous improvement efforts related to raw materials and supplier management methods and tools


Qualifications
Required Job Qualifications
? A four-year technical degree or equivalent experience
? Broad skills and knowledge that vary through the product lifecycle include:
？ Sound understanding and application of engineering fundamentals
？ Excellent communication skills (verbal, written, presentation)
？ Hands-on working style
？ Fundamental understanding of product use and customer needs
？ Evaluation of part/material prototypes for fitness for use
？ Fundamentals of probability, statistics, and data analysis
？ Specification development
？ Strong analytical thinking and problem solving skills to complex issue, develop and implement solutions
？ Demonstrated success in working with cross functional teams in a multi-culture environment
？ Project management skill & experience (the ability to initiate, prioritize and drive projects to completion)
？ Risk analyses
？ Failure analysis


Desired Job Qualifications
? Advanced technical degree
? Industry training or certification(s) in Operational Excellence methods/tools such as Structured Problem Solving, Lean, Six Sigma, ISO 9001 etc.
? Experience in supplier quality engineering, procurement, and/or supplier quality assurance
