Your responsibilities
· Deliver strong tooling capability for automation process engineering & best practice assembly solutions to achieve highest quality standard & yield rate.
· Coordinate & follow up tool/equipment design, material & technology sourcing, product prototyping and qualification.
· Work with external suppliers to develop molds based on Philips Lighting’s specifications
· Own the supplier tooling capability evaluations and developments
· Be influential in developing our sustainable tooling capability
· Achieve the KPI of mold optimization and technology innovation
· Build and drive the feasibility study of innovative ideas for product design
· Provide support and feedback to the team to ensure quality work
· Develop & implement a standard tooling platform for designs & manufacturing

We are looking for
· A Bachelor’s degree in Engineering
· At least ten years’ experience in tooling design / tool shop departments
· Hands-on experience of tool DFM and mold design
· Expert in various tooling concepts, design, constructions & technologies, with solid knowledge of numerous manufacturing processes such as injection molding, die casting, metal stamping, over-molding, finishing, heat treatment, etc.
· Solid experience with procurement of tool & equipment used in manufacturing.
· Strong mechanical engineering background. Excellent numerical, analytical and problem-solving skills.
· Strong interpersonal, influencing & communication skills with a proven ability to work with cross-functional teams.
· A self-motivated, innovative & energetic individual with can-do attitude. Able to think out-of-the-box to meet different challenges & drive for results.
· Project management experience
· Experience of 3D modelling software like UG and AUTOCAD
· Strong Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook skills
· Good communication skill in both English and Mandarin
· First-class organizational and collaboration skills
· Mainly work in Shenzhen but candidates need to be willing to travel at times 50% or more, visiting suppliers across the region / world
