职位描述：
POSITION PURPOSE


The incumbent will be primarily responsible for supporting laboratory work related to analytical technology. This person will perform routine analytical work outlined by supervisor which includes running GC, GC-MS, GPC, DSC, TGA, FTIR, FTIR Microscopy. Titrator and Rheometer, and sample preparations. He/or She will be involved in the documentation of experimental results, day-to-day operations to ensure that laboratory work processes can be carried out smoothly and safely. This will also include involvement in the maintenance of laboratory equipment, requisition of chemicals and purchasing of lab consumables.

 

   




JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

1. Attend safety meeting/activities, carry out safety inspections, comply and promote Safety Culture;

2. Implement or improve routine test procedure/method on GC, GC-MS, DSC, Rheometer, GPC, KF moisture and FTIR.

3. Prepare samples and standard samples for GC, GC-MS, and GPC analysis;

4. Ensure laboratory equipment is routinely calibrated and checked to maintain accuracy and repeatability;

5. Carry out the data analysis with the software of instruments;

6. Provide the accurate and reliable analytical data for the Asia Pacific Technology Organization;

7. Ensure that chemicals and consumables are available for laboratory operations, and manage chemicals in the lab.

 

 

 

   







 

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL REQUIREMENT(INCLUDING EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE)

 

Education-Bachelor Degree in Science (Chemistry)

 

 

Experience/Job Knowledge/Expertise –1 to 2 years’ lab experience.

 

Judgment – Good planning to ensure that chemicals, consumables & equipments are available when required. Notify peers and supervision when issues related laboratory safety is being observed.

 

Initiative – Must be self-motivated, looking for ways to improve laboratory work processes, testing accuracy and safety.

 

Technical Skills - Good knowledge in analytical chemistry.


  
 

Computer Skills – Able to use Microsoft Outlook, PowerPoint, Word and Excel

 

Language Skills – English and Chinese

 

Communication Skills – Must be able to communicate experimental results clearly to peers & supervision through email, verbal communication and/or concise report. Require to update research notebook clearly and promptly.

 

Teamwork – Must be able to work with people having different personalities and different job functions.
