Position Overview
This Senior/Staff Engineer role is a key member of Sierra Wireless Shenzhen Engineering team. You will drive firmware development tasks related to 3G/4G modem protocol stack, resolve key technical issues in this area, and support our devices going through carrier/regulatory/customer approval.

Key Responsibilities
? Lead a team of Firmware development engineers on protocol/certification related activities, mainly focus on:
o Requirement analysis, effort estimation, resource allocation.
o Ensure tasks assigned to the team can be delivered on-time, meeting quality criteria.
o Proactive risk identification and mitigation
o Design, coding and functional testing of protocol features
? Manage and grow the team by continuously optimize process, provide guidance and training to team members.
? Provide timely and accurate status report to stakeholders.
? Collaborate with other teams/sites on protocol firmware related topics.

Requirements
? Bachelor degree in Engineering, Master degree is preferred.
? 7+ years’ software development experience with solid track record on 3GPP technologies, i.e. LTE and UMTS.
? 2+ years people management experience.
? Systematic and logical thinking
? Strong communication skills. Fluent verbal and written English is essential.
? Project management experience is a plus
? Experience working on GNSS or TCP/IP related technologies is a plus. 举报 分享
