Green Mountain Electrical Appliances Technical Consulting (SHENZHEN) Company Limited is seeking a Quality Manager, specializing in Component Engineering for coffee brewer machines, to join our high-performing technical team newly established in Asia. As Quality Manager, you will apply your superior attention to detail, industry knowledge, and experience to ensure our products meet our industry-leading standards. In this role, you will evaluate materials (polymer, metallic, etc.), develop and put into practice plans to evaluate performance, and work with and assess our various component suppliers.
This position requires constant communication with the primary Contract Manufacturers and component suppliers located throughout Asia, and with all members of the Quality and Engineering teams of the Keurig business unit located in Boston, USA. He/she needs to provide support team members of the Quality organization in Asia.
Key Responsibilities
· Propose and evaluate alternative materials to enhance component performance
· Develop test strategy/plan/procedure to verify and validate material's performance, reliability, and safety
· Develop models for simulation of material degradation under various environmental stress
· Perform failure analysis of components of electrical or hydraulic or pneumatic products (ex. pump, motor, actuator, seals, and/or valves)
· Support other members of the Quality team in component quality verification
· Support Product Development and/or Contract Manufacturers in component sourcing, validation, and qualification
· Assess capability of component suppliers
Qualifications
· At least seven years of experience in leadership position in engineering development, testing and evaluation, or reliability evaluation of components of electrical or hydraulic or pneumatic products (preferably pump, motor, actuator, seals, and/or valves)
· Understanding of failure modes of the components mentioned above
· Understanding of relevant ASTM, UL, NSF, IEC, ISO, and/or EN standards
· Understanding of operations of key scientific instruments - X-ray spectrometer, mass chromatography, etc.
· Relevant experience from industries such as Automotive, Medical Equipment and/or Food Processing is ideal
Academics
· Undergraduate degree in engineering or physical science
· Postgraduate degree in Material Engineering, Polymer Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or Applied Chemistry
· Profession certifications in Quality, technical disciplines in Mechanical or Chemical or Polymer is a plus
