Green Mountain Electrical Appliances Technical Consulting (SHENZHEN) Company Limited is seeking an Engineer to evaluate alternative materials (i.e. plastics/polymers, metals, electronics) to enhance component performance. In this role, you will analyze material characteristics and performance to assure component function, reliability, and safety meet or exceed requirements.


This position requires constant communication with the primary Contract Manufacturers and component suppliers located throughout Asia, and with all members of the Quality and Engineering teams of the Keurig business unit located in Boston, USA. He/she needs to provide support team members of the Quality organization in Asia.


Key Responsibilities

· Support Quality, Engineering and other corporate functions to meet their expectations.

· Support Quality Manager in execution of long / short term actions

· Assist suppliers to develop and maintain quality assurance system

· Assist suppliers to comply with quality system and product safety requirements.

· Evaluate alternative materials to enhance component performance.

· Execute test strategy / plan / procedure to verify and validate material's performance, reliability, and safety.

· Develop and run models for simulation of material degradation under various environmental stress.

· Perform failure analysis of components of electrical or hydraulic or pneumatic products (e.g., pump, motor, actuator, seals, and/or valves).

· Support Product Development and / or Contract Manufacturers in component sourcing, validation, and qualification.

· Assess capability of component suppliers

· Support Quality, Engineering, and other corporate functions in achieving their objectives

· Complete other projects assigned as needed


Qualifications

· At least 7 years of experience in technical position in engineering development, testing and evaluation, or reliability evaluation of components of electrical or hydraulic or pneumatic products (preferably pump, motor, actuator, seals, and/or valves).

· Bachelor degree in Science and Engineering discipline.

· Experience in design, manufacturing, and / or quality assurance of electrical products, particularly home use electrical products.

· Understanding of failure modes of the components mentioned above.

· Application of quality tools (FMEA, SPE, DOE, PPAP, etc.)

· Understanding of relevant ASTM, UL, NSF, IEC, ISO, and/or EN standards

· Understanding of operations of key scientific instruments - X-ray spectrometer, Mass chromatography, etc.

· Understanding of various Problem Solving approaches.

· Ability to work with colleagues with diverse ethnical and cultural background

· Team player, results oriented and open minded

· Fluent in English and Chinese languages (written and spoken).

· Strong leadership with business acumen and the ability to lead change
