Green Mountain Electrical Appliances Technical Consulting (SHENZHEN) Company Limited is seeking a Test Engineer to execute and improve verification/validation strategy for products, sub-assemblies, and components. In this role, you will design, develop, build, and maintain customized test equipment for the brewers. You will also set up and fixture the equipment to verify and validate material's performance, reliability, and safety.


This position requires constant communication with the primary Contract Manufacturers and component suppliers located throughout Asia, and with all members of the Quality and Engineering teams of the Keurig business unit located in Boston, USA. He/she needs to provide support team members of the Quality organization in Asia.


Key Responsibilities

· Support Quality, Engineering and other corporate functions to meet their expectations

· Support Quality Manager in execution of long / short term actions

· Execute, improve verification and validation strategy, program, and procedures for products, sub-assemblies, and components.

· Execution plans for specific Contract Manufacturers

· Design, develop, build, and maintain customized test equipment, set up, and fixture to verify and validate material's performance, reliability, and safety.

· Identify and specify standard test equipment, tools, and accessories

· Execute test plan / procedure to verify and validate material's performance, reliability, and safety.

· Develop and run models for simulation of material degradation under various environmental stress.

· Support other members of the Quality team in verification and validation of products, sub-assemblies, and components

· Support Product Development and / or Contract Manufacturers in component sourcing, validation, and qualification

· Monitor test laboratory operations and maintain laboratory safety and discipline

· Interface with 3rd party laboratories to assure proper operations of product safety assurance.

· Support Quality, Engineering, and other corporate funtions in achieving their objectives

· Complete other projects assigned as needed

· Provide training to internal / external teams and suppliers




Qualifications

· At least 7 years of experience in technical position in engineering development, testing and evaluation, or reliability evaluation of components of electrical or hydraulic or pneumatic products (preferably pump, motor, actuator, seals, and/or valves)

· Bachelor degree in Science and Engineering discipline

· Extensive experience in design, manufacturing, testing, and / or quality assurance, and type approval of electrical products, particularly home use electrical products for the US and /or EU markets

· Understanding of failure modes of the components mentioned above.

· Application of quality tools (FMEA, SPE, DOE, PPAP, etc.)

· Understanding of relevant ASTM, UL, NSF, IEC, ISO, and/or EN standards

· Understanding of operations of common test equipment (electrical, electronic, and mechanical)

· Working knowledge of ISO 17025 (Quality Management System for Test Laboratory)

· Ability to work with colleagues with diverse ethnical and cultural background

· Team player, results oriented and open minded

· Fluent in English and Chinese languages (written and spoken)

· Team spirit and cooperation

· Being able to work independently and within time constraints
