Job Description
Interlink Electronics is looking for an ambitious person to join our sales team and help to drive our expansion in China and South East Asia. If you have strong sales experience, are outgoing and sociable, and excel at networking and building relationships, then we want you on our sales team.
The successful candidate will have a lot of energy and initiative, be a strong multi-tasker, and feed off of working in a fun, fast-paced, team environment. Our sensor solutions and products are well known globally and have wide areas of application and we create an environment that allows our sales people to thrive.
Purpose:
You will be responsible for driving new business opportunities with new and existing customers in China and, if appropriate, in South East Asia and developing differentiated winning strategies to close and retain profitable business for Interlink Electronics.
Principle Duties:
? Knows the territory, gives Interlink insight into the China market, both opportunities and challenges
? Responsible for developing and retaining strategic alliance relationships with key customers
? Develop customer base through various channels, including telephone sales, internet sales, face to face sales and through distributors
? Manage the existing distributors and develop new distributors
? Provides market intelligence (with support of marketing)
? Provides customer relevant competitor analysis (with support of marketing)
? Identifies new target customers and opportunities for organic growth with existing customers
? Pre-qualifies accounts
? Works w/ Finance to complete credit check and run D&B to ensure customer is financially viable
? Helps to build customer loyalty and creates barriers to exit (i.e. differentiated propositions that the competition can't match)
? Create value that increases customer competitiveness
? Owns and drives the execution of the account strategy to close business
? Has knowledge of Interlink capabilities to determine and organize the best fit for the customer account requirements
? Responsible for proposal development and generation (differentiated)
? Customer RFIs, ensures quality/completed RFI submitted to customer
? Contract negotiation with the support of the Global Sales Manager and legal teams and appropriate authorizations from both Interlink and the customer
? Checks customer perception of performance - provides early warning on issues
Desired Skills & Experience
Requirements:
? B.S. degree or above in Engineering or Business
? 10+ years of industry experience including at least five years in sales, marketing, key account mgmt and business development
? Established network in China
? Fluency in English and Mandarin, both written and verbal, is required
? Deep understanding on China business and local business practices
? Proven capability in customer networking, business development, and sale generation
? Ability to identify new business opportunities and sales channels, and experience building a strong sales pipeline
? MNC working experience essential
? Ability and willingness to travel at least 50% of the time
? A team-player and quick learner with positive attitude, initiative, excellent communications
? Electronics related industry products sales experience is preferred
? Well connected, existing clients among OEM/EMS, medical, consumer electronics, automation& control and related markets is a plus
