Objective of job
- Provide consulting and support to various entities in China on Daimler architecture principles and standards, target architecture, and roadmap as guided by IT Strategy.
- Govern the implementation of new projects in regard to enterprise architecture throughout the life cycle (Quality gates) to ensure that Daimler standards are adequately considered in the solution design. Reject non-compliant standards to ensure minimization of technology stacks in order to achieve harmonization of IT landscape and run cost reduction.
- Keep strong alignment with regional and central ITM functions (center of competences) especially lead architects and technology architects in CoC’s to understand approved IT technology roadmap and its implementation.

2. Research/Analysis & concept work
- Research development of 3 dimensional modelling tools, machines and software
3. Project initiation
- Makes rapid digital models or clay models for new projects
- Prepares of project description
- Communicates new projects
- Prepares of tools and machines for models
4. 2 dimensional work
- Reads sketches and renderings
- Executes and reads tape & line drawings
5. 3 dimensional work
- Translate sketches and renderings to digital models or clay models
- Makes 3 dimensional renderings and animations for presentation
- Coordinates overall model expression
- Modifies 3 dimensional models in coordination with designer and his superior
6. Presentation
- Makes arrangement of presentation environment
- Explains clearly his modelling work
7. Documentation
- files every material data
- Maintains every material, data, file with his superior

Qualification required
O Education
- Bachelor degree, major in Arts/Mechanics/Automobile

O Experience
-Has several years of experience in automotive design field
-Experience in concept cars and production cars
-Experience in project budgeting and project planning
-Experience in setting up a Design Center, and good network with various suppliers relevant to such an option

O Specific Knowledge
-Creative and good ability in sketching, rendering. Taping, modelling (analogue and digital work)
-Good understanding of basic car packing and engineering
-Model and prototyping follow-up ability
-Good ability in power point/animation presentation
-Good ability in preparing presentations for top management
-Able to analyze marker trends in China, and worldwide
-Good network with Chinese Automotive Design Schools and other Chinese universities
-Good network with various suppliers relevant to an Automotive Design Center’s needs
