DESCRIPTION/RESPONSIBILITIES:

Job Description

As a member Computing - IT Windows infrastructure team, this person
will apply his / her Microsoft technologies expertise to:

* analysis, design, develop, and deploy of Microsoft servers to support
7x24 mission critical business/financial applications and manufacturing
execution systems;

* develop, deploy, and advance global technical standards, policies,
processes, and best practices of Windows platform to maximize
efficiency and effectiveness;

* guide IT/IS support teams/vendors to resolve escalated system issues.



The Windows Support Engineer is the L3 level of support and is
responsible for Architect Windows servers to efficiently and
effectively support business, financial, and manufacturing
execution systems with particular focus on the architecture supporting
Pivot3 environment, VMWare environment, and advanced planning system..



Works independently towards providing support for escalated
incident/problem management requirements (L3 support). The Engineer
will be required to liaise and work with other Global engineering
teams, ensuring the highest level of output capable for the Engineering
team.



Resolves at least 80% of calls routed to him/her, without having to
dispatch to service partners. In-depth knowledge of troubleshooting
scripts and knowledge of server topologies/configurations.



Good Knowledge on AD.Responsibilities would also include AD Account
provisioning and management. FlexSense Alert
Management.


Exposure to VMWare or Virtual Server/ Virtual PC would be added value.



Previous Experience Desired:

* Excellent verbal and written English communication skills including
ability to produce effective technical and user documentations

* Expert knowledge in Microsoft Windows, Clustering,
Vmware, backup/recovery, high availability, monitoring,
performance tuning, optimization, and disaster recover

* Strong process development and implementation skills

* Strong administrative skill on Windows 20012/2008.

* A technology expert with relentless drive to continuously improve
system performance, develop strong/repeatable processes, and
train/mentor users and IT/IS support staffs

* Knowledge on Active Directory Services - DNS Zones, Replications.

* Hands on experience on monitoring tools

* Understanding of TCP/IP is a must.

* Should have worked in heterogeneous environment ;- Windows and
Linux/Unix mixed environment

* Network Operations and Network Security - DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP, Routing.

* System Performance Management – Fine tuning of Windows Operating
System

* Should Have Good Exposure RAID (H/W & S/W)

* Exposure to VMWare or Virtual Server

* Should have Hands on experience on Remote Monitoring both Hardware
and Operating Systems

* Monitors production systems and provides 24x7 support for production
related issues. This may include the maintenance of the application
itself or the correction of damaged/corrupted data within the file
structures.

* Continually analyzes the application using debugging tools, error
logs, scripts and backup reports in order to optimize performance.

* Knowledge of hardware platforms like HP (Proliant servers) and Dell
(PowerEdge series) is also an added value
